Small startup a lot of money from investor can pay everyone fairly … once water runs dry … investor starts pressuring founder on profit then pattern will come up …

actually more than that

work different, work load different, skillset different, knowledge different, efficiency different

many times when someone looked relax, it's not because he/she worked less...he/she just streamlined his/her workflow already
so everything is fast and smooth or that person has a skillset that nobody else has which is why he/she got paid that much

hence i will always say if you can do what he/she did, i don't mind paying you that much

Pay transparency is quite common in certain European countries. The job ad will state the annual salary range for the role....So everyone has an idea about the range, not the exact dollars and cents...Here in MY, I guess the gap is too big, hence no employer will advertise it...

here, everybody is low pay...that's why employers here don't dare to do it

everybody is underpaid here or the gap is way too big sometimes for certain position

There is range of salary for roles, now responsibilities for similar type roles may differ.

Thus do own due diligence & ensure you are compensated as fairly as possible within your acceptable merits.

I know a friend company let's everyone knows their "basic pay" but "final pay" is secret.

Like everyone base pay is RM3000. There is

RM200 for full attendance, MC and valid reason to be late counted as "full" also.

RM600 for reaching KPI.

RM700-RM1500 for assisting oversea branch, you will get this if you are good in Chinese/German/Korean. The more language you master, the higher the extra pay.

So one month someone can reach a max of RM5300.

my company also let staff know about salary for all job grades... what to hide.... as every job grade has min - max salary ceiling, annual increment %, technical pay per grade, allowances per grade.... bonus % per job grade and how to calculate the bonus...

no favoritism, no need suspicious if boss treats u good or not...or HR is honest or not .....

i think only local companies scare ppl know abt the salary scales... scare ppl know that they underpaid the staff...lol
