Everywhere is now evil, but some "places" in the world are extra bankrupt.

It may well be an out of court custody battle. But the offending parent would still be charged with kidnapping.

since like last year it's not anymore...so cases went up rapidly

death penalty isn't abolished, it's the punishment changed

Investigations ongoing
Johor police chief M. Kumar said the girl was not yet found when the suspects were arrested.

The case is being reclassified under a section of the penal code that pertains to "kidnapping or abducting someone with the intent to secretly and wrongfully confine them", he said.

“If convicted, the penalty includes imprisonment for up to 7 years and a possible fine,” he said in a statement on Jul. 22.

30-40 years is when death penalty is still the punishment to kidnapping

since last year, the punishment for kidnapping has changed which is why since last year u see a rampant increase in kidnapping and human trafficking cases
