Any workshop can get this new Proton S70 car key? Mine rosak. Proton says need to RM700 for a new one.

I think they change the whole system including the RFID chip, not just duplicate existing key FOB

I did my replacement key for 270. Claimed from my insurance. 😅

When I tried to change the battery myself, the casing broke. Some button cannot press. Still working but need to close to the door only it detects

Next time, change yr car key fob battery at the outlet at Lotus Puchong, just next to McD.
The guy is pretty competent.

My case, the casing and the key broken in two pieces due to wear and tear. Luckily bought smart key replacement insurance.

Change car fob battery so susah one ah.
My Polo car fob korek korek to open also cannot pecah or rosak. Part CCP car like that one to make money.

You polo parts is made in India. Different from China.
I have a steel pot made in India. Korek korek also never pecah.

Save 20 bucks, then kena burnt 700.....penny wise pound foolish.

On a serious kopitiam note. The most expensive thing in the keyfob is the immobiliser. That damage confirm expensive to replace.

it's Rm700 because they quote with immobilizer.

if alarm + plastic kaput, can get half price easily if no need clone immobilizer

but make a new one also need immobilizer right?
