Never mind..

Once they have that number, then whole users wd out and start terminate account. whistling.gif

Either win win situation, both user and bank continue enjoy..
OR if they play dirty trick again, then users will terminate and switch others..

Simple as that.. rolleyes.gif

I just applied the Pay Later for fun and it allocated RM 1,499... it says 0% interest if re-payment in 1 payment.  Reading T&C to understand how it works or how to cancel it 😄

Just click to apply and didn't ask for any documents or income. Immediately granted RM 1,499.

May I know how did you applied for Pay Later at Ryt Bank? In my app, there was no option for me to apply for it

obviously NO

you repay from your Current Account / Savings account (CASA) within Ryt Bank via the app

Auto debit for instalment repayment: Upon conversion of any Current Statement Amount into instalments pursuant to Clause 5.3 (Conversion into instalments), you consent and authorises the Bank to debit the funds in your Ryt Bank Savings Account automatically for purposes of repayment of each outstanding instalment on the specified Repayment Date, until full settlement of all outstanding balance under the instalment plan. You must ensure that there are sufficient funds in your Ryt Bank Savings Account for the auto-debit to take place. Please note that this auto debit function is not applicable for one-off settlement of the Current Statement Amount pursuant to Clause 5.2(a). If you wish to settle the Current Statement Amount in a single payment (without converting it into an instalment plan), please manually perform the fund transfer from your Ryt Bank Savings Account to your Ryt PayLater Account via the App on or before the relevant Repayment Date.

May I know what's your app version? Mine is on v1.16.0. There are no updates available on the Play Store, and my home screen doesn't have the banner

A possible reason is that they are doing the phase rollout on the Pay Later, so not everyone got it

I am using my PayLater at merchants that do not accept credit card and make full payment by my 18 Sep due date, 0% interest.

If can use credit card, better to use cc as can get points and also 21 to 30 days before payment due.

hmm.gif So after all the discussion about the residual balance and stuff, the in-a-nutshell version that unker here has come to understand is

TECHNICALLY, main account is "useless" since it's 3 % only and isnt calculated inside the pockets' 20k, got much better rate at other digital banks and jars

For Savings Pockets, you wanna put 60.84 or any multiples of that value for the round-off but with the knowledge that residual is in play and u are receiving "alternate day" interest UNLESS u are willing to daily "bot" tongue.gif

For Ryt Pocket itself, you wanna hit as high interest as possible with the residual balance need for 20k after subtracting whatever u put in the savings pocket also with the knowledge that residual is in play and u are receiving "alternate day" interest.

THE NUMBERS

MAIN: 0
RYT POCKET: 19527.50 (I know it will be more than 20k total but for the alternate day round off...) | Interest:1.60 +- 0.01
SAVINGS POCKET: 60.84 *9 =547.56 | Interest: 0.01*9 = 0.09

TOTAL = 20075.06 with the knowledge that 75.06 is there to pad numbers | Interest: 1.6+0.09+0.54=2.23 at the very least with variations

Am i correct in my calculations so far or do i need to go back to math school?

PS: After everything is said and done, effective rate is basically 4%~4.05%

I saw that already, forced app update when I try to login. Will it show the due date for PayLater? I'm tempting to use. I can cash it to other bank account, right?
