MAlaysians often look up to those flaunting their wealth/acquisition , and cheer them on.

socmed post/news/articles about the other extreme  (like frugality , showing pride driving a 30 year old Saga)    will cause    'discomfort"  to  the readers.
to me... extreme frugality until eating the same cheap food everyday and (selectively) living under harsh condition will snowball into other health /mental problems in the future. one might finally become a millionaire in his mid 40s using this lifestyle ... but their mentat state will forever be changed/rewired.
