Today, we are spoilt with choice. There are hundreds of different stylus and keyboards for Tablets. Each manufacturer comes out with tens of different tablets within the same segment, with minor adjustments. Market forces decides the trends and norms within each niche. Back in the day, getting a screen protector is prized possession, but these days, there are hundreds of types screen protector/tempered glass sold for each model(mostly costing only a few ringgit).

There are 3 main OS for Tablets; Android, Apple and Windows.

As per my thread here, I have tried and tested Surface Pro 5 which runs on Windows. I like it, and was planning to upgrade to SP11. Almost.

The selling point for Surface Pro tablets in the Windows OS. A dying OS, IMO. These devices are powerful, but they consume too much power. Windows updates never ends. Every week it take GBs of data, putting a strain on 4G/5G metered plans. I rarely exceed my data quota on Android, but I can finish it within a few days on Win10/11.

Surface Pro has a big screen. Android tablets do also.

Surface Pro makes scrolling easy with a mouse. Android tablets can support a mice through Bluetooth or OTG USB C.

Other than specific software and Windows-only niche features I see no reason to buy Surface Pro 11.

Prove me wrong.... All feedback are appreciated...

It all boils down to your specific use cases....and budget

there is no in between unless you can afford having both android/ios tablet and windows

i have tried those 3 ways and at the end of it i choose 2 of 3 which is MacOS (macbook pro) for heavy work and iPad for light sketch task and presentation (i can skip ipad entirely)

budget wise is not my issue so does data plan.

In my case if i ever wanted to go for windows laptop/tablet i would pick ROG Flow Z13 (2025). Nowadays modern high end windows laptop has way better performance and battery life than your surface pro 5 (i once own pro 4 and 5)

You don't really have much choice in the world of manufacturing. Everything is literally in Windows. Heck you might even leave a couple Windows 7 PC up and running if you need 32bit app support for some of your older machines.

Choices are only for those who basically just browse web, check emails and doing mostly paperwork.

what do you use it for?
to run windows only apps - surface
media consumption - android
to draw - ipad, or you are locked to its ecosystem

i would say a well rounder is still android. ipad niche to me is really apple pencil
if you need windows, you can always stream it to your tablet.

Yes you are right once you used iPad pro you get stucked. I use notability for writing with Apple pencil , notion for database. For media consumption is still iPad amazing speaker and video quality.

Let’s not get started with gaming M processor smooth like butter

Only annoying part Microsoft office mobile version hate it and iPad with hdmi can never be full screen .
