Method 2: Run the enablement package.
oo by the way i had some BSOD due to my wifi 7 on motherboard driver being the cause. how i know? because the crash dump pointed to the wifi drivers for wifi7 qualcomm fdastconnect 7800 that came with the MSI X870 MAG tomahawk wifi motherboard
But i noticed that since th 25h2 win11 update, wifi got re-enabled and i check event viewer, no bsod.
The crashes usually happen after pc wake from sleep.
Fyi the wifi7 is setup with the wake from power management disabled. I didn't dare re-enable which is the default. if it works, no point trying to intentionally make it not work. But before even when disable the power management for the wifi7, it would still bsod.
now is fixed (for now). In the changelogs 25h2 says it has wifi7 support. What are the fine details? i dont know. But maybe due to that, it fixed this bsod issue?
on this motherboard the 5gbe realtek nic, also buggy. constant bugs. i have it disabled because i use an addon card for sfp+ 10g fiber instead. Didn't bother to re-enable that to check if it works for 25H2 or not
after update to 25H2, the start remain as the OLD start. The redditor said the NEW start is coming later, not sure when. But honestly, doesn't matter much.
running this 25H2 for 2 days, no bsod yet. tbh, there is nothing praise worthy to say for windows 11. wish i could move to an alternative. I tried linux arch desktop os, but there some apps i cant use, so cant make the permanent change just yet.
My experience with linux arch desktop os, was how you needed extra steps to get the codecs to use with mpv. In windows, less hassle
