QUOTE(PJng @ Oct 15 2025, 09:45 PM) Staged, not everyone received same, some received early, some late. Those received earlier one, MS wait for them to install, then if portion of user no kpkb eg encounter BSOD or rollback due to broken install, after MS received those installed diagnostic data and verified fine, next batch of user will be able to download. Android phone OTA also same, if they distributed faulty firmware, all their phone would become expensive brick. Crowdstrike distributed driver directly to user not staged, everyone received same faulty driver and that's how the July 2024 happened. |

QUOTE(colmi @ Sep 21 2025, 03:05 PM) samehttps://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/comments...200_megathread/ I used this method QUOTE Method 2: Run the enablement package. oo by the way i had some BSOD due to my wifi 7 on motherboard driver being the cause. how i know? because the crash dump pointed to the wifi drivers for wifi7 qualcomm fdastconnect 7800 that came with the MSI X870 MAG tomahawk wifi motherboard But i noticed that since th 25h2 win11 update, wifi got re-enabled and i check event viewer, no bsod. The crashes usually happen after pc wake from sleep. Fyi the wifi7 is setup with the wake from power management disabled. I didn't dare re-enable which is the default. if it works, no point trying to intentionally make it not work. But before even when disable the power management for the wifi7, it would still bsod. now is fixed (for now). In the changelogs 25h2 says it has wifi7 support. What are the fine details? i dont know. But maybe due to that, it fixed this bsod issue? on this motherboard the 5gbe realtek nic, also buggy. constant bugs. i have it disabled because i use an addon card for sfp+ 10g fiber instead. Didn't bother to re-enable that to check if it works for 25H2 or not after update to 25H2, the start remain as the OLD start. The redditor said the NEW start is coming later, not sure when. But honestly, doesn't matter much. running this 25H2 for 2 days, no bsod yet. tbh, there is nothing praise worthy to say for windows 11. wish i could move to an alternative. I tried linux arch desktop os, but there some apps i cant use, so cant make the permanent change just yet. My experience with linux arch desktop os, was how you needed extra steps to get the codecs to use with mpv. In windows, less hassle This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Oct 16 2025, 09:16 AM |

QUOTE(PJng @ Oct 15 2025, 09:45 PM) If you want, you can download the 25H2 ISO using the Media Creation Tool and run the setup manually. Do backup your important data before upgrading your Windows from either 23H2/24H2 version, make sure to select 'Keep Personal Files and Apps' without losing anything. |

Is 25H2 good to go? I'm still on 24H2
![]() QUOTE(Xploit Machine @ Sep 25 2025, 01:32 AM) 25H2 is fast as the 23H2 (I really hate 24H2) which I have used on my 15yrs old machine .. updates completed100% with required drivers easily installation simple, such as disk partitioning bla bla bla .. productkey sucked from my MSFT account, installed within 30 mins, tomoro will start to install my old usual apps .. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
