Thanks for more tips!

Ah yes, technically I would be alone there as well. Hobby/interest groups hard to come by?
Client Management in a Travel Tech company. I won't disclose the salary but it is a bit of a cut compared to my MY salary, due to jumping from an absolutely different industry (IT > Environment > Travel). Opportunity presented itself and I find this industry fascinating, since I'm still young (almost 30) with no dependants, I just decided to go for it.

Don't know anyone here unfortunately. I'll have to look around.

I'm assuming kopitiam is referring to all food courts and hawkers? Also, the Trust Link card you are referring to is this right: Link

10% sounds amazing to be honest, but does it have to be the combo of the Trust Link card and Fairprice app? Or another credit card will do the same?
My monthly spending excluding rent may be below 500 SGD. My case probably better to get those other cashback cards that will come with free gifts during sign up I think?
Oh Grabpay and Paylah not widely used? Then I suppose its more common for PayNow using banking apps?

The other you mention Paywave is through CC wave or Google/Apple/Samsung Pay then.

Shopback I have not used in ages man, it is still around haha?
Yes, this seems to be an amazing tip being shared here.
I should look at Singsaver and Moneysmart for ideas as well, those gifts are worth quite a bit. Wouldn't you get flagged if you cancel often and reapply just to get gifts?

No need susah susah la.
Go for Uob One Account. Let your payroll know, you want uob for salary. You can check out their tiered interest on the website. With salary credited, just spend 500 monthly to unlock (the other is 3 giro payment). You just need to fulfill 2/3.

The one card is your atm, visa and paywave, nets flash able.

Before the latest adjustment, with 150k, spend 500 you unlock 500 per month, you see that in your account by the 3rd monthly. Now you get 400++

I think TS needs to start with either DBS/POSB first before opening up either UOB or OCBC. If I'm not mistaken back then they didn't allow first timer to open with them without a bank account in sg.

Anyway TS you're too soon to consider a CC .. you need to work at least 6 months prior to apply iinm. Can also apply PR by then lol

One Account is a normal account. For payroll purpose, sure can

Oh but I rmb I took quite some effort for my ocbc back then. I needed to open up a DBS first

Old days, they point you to posb. Hahaha
Now, so long your payroll ok, you can open at any. If you renting HDB, just ask owner update, print out the registered tenants listing. Good to go

Still dbs, uob, ocbc the common ones.
