May I know if my iPad 2 gen can downgrade its iOS and download app like TikTok. Instagram and YouTube?

It’s laggy and cannot install any app as it’s outdated. Most app no longer support it.

Other than that it works okay. Including the battery.

Apple don’t allow os downgrades unless during specific window when new os releases

There are two issues here:-
1. Laggy - that's the reason you want to downgrade iOS (iPadOS was never released for iPad 2). It's possible but you need iTunes and some other tools, and like post #2 mentioned, downgrade to previous iOS usually possible within certain timeframes from release of new iOS versions. You might need to dig deeper how this can be bypassed, like downloading the old firmware from ipsw.me.

2. Download or run modern/current apps like tiktok
- I'd say don't bother, I don't think the processor in iPad 2 can handle HEVC videos or FHD like modern devices. I'd suggest maybe jailbreaking the iPad and install alternative app store, that may still allow you to install usable apps, but I don't think modern processor/memory heavy browsers/video/social media apps can function without lagging severely or whether they can even start at all.


Conclusion:-
I'm just afraid if the above are abit too foreign to you. I'd suggest get a new or more current tablet, Apple, Android or even Windows based ones that can do what you want - Tiktok videos.

I still have original ipad....
Running OK....
Just don't have app to use....
Ipad mini 2 dispose already....
Ipad mini 4... screen got line....and slow....
Ipad mini 5 ..screen got line.....and power button can't use....screen peeling from body....

I have a very old iPad 1 64GB, super OLD.....

Nothing can be run on that iPad 1 device, just some old Apps/Games that was installed years ago and that's it, you cannot install/update those Apps/Games to the latest version.

Jailbreak it doesn't seems to help much also, as most Cydia's store apps either not stable or just plain not working.

I have give up on it and now it just run as a Photo Slideshow in my living hall...

Tiktok apps is kind of new gen apps, thus it will not work on old CPU... I think iPad 1 & 2 is running on 32-bit CPU while most Apps are now designed to run on 64-bit CPU hence the incompatibility.

No, Apple IOS cant downgrade. Last time can during jailbreak/Cydia era, now cannot.

Even my iPad 6th gen already feel slow in this day and age and you're asking about iPad 2? Forget about it

Im so sure most apps wont work as it doesn't support old ios
