I've been thinking Nothing 3a, Poco F7, A56. They have a wider display which I prefer for viewing documents occasionally. The current trend of long narrow displays sucks for me.

I agree. Hardware is more than enough for daily apps, big battery, reasonably bright screen in daylight, good design and Nothing OS is a lot better than Samsung, Xiaomi, Redmi, etc in terms of default privacy settings – for example, you won’t see OEM injected ads and the stock keyboard doesn’t log your keystrokes to send back to Korea or China.

But TS stated “not more than RM1.5k” in title. Nothing 3a is RM1,699 MSRP if not mistaken. Maybe can get it for less during Shopee sales? Not sure.
