They already go to the cost savings road for the 3 cylinder engine previously. Why they move back to 4 as a lot of people complain and sales is poor on those models ( Geely Binyue/Coolray) in China. A lot of tiktok/Douyin video used car seller keep saying the model 2nd value is low due to the 3 cylinder and a lot of people ditch it very early due to the poor NVH and quality. They switch to 4 cylinder in China year 2022.

Moving from 4NA to 3T is more expansive.

Bro, the 4 cylinder engine is also turbo, which is the same as the latest in X50 facelift.
China already getting it earlier 3 years ago while we still stuck with the obsolete engine.
