They are in such good spirit

Wout was taking a photo with the torn placard and making a joke out of it.

They found Wout fan. Took a photo with her. Indeed they made this fan happier with a happier story ending. Both Great cyclists for fans. Good sportsmanship

TDF Stage 18 Col De La Loze:

Man.. What else can Jonas do more to gain time on Pogi bangwall.gif Even on yesterday queen stage, Col De La Loze, Jonas attacked multiple times but still Pogi glued to to the wheel. I Believe few years back, Jonas is the favorite in the very long mountain stages, but now, seems like Pogi already surpassed Jonas.

I remember few years back, the Pogi "Im gone, Im dead moment''. This year, no chance. Pogi got his revenge. Look composed to the finish. I think he can even catch Ben if he wanted to, but decided to play safe & defend the yellow jersey. BTW, hats off to Ben O Connor. What a stage to win! notworthy.gif

On previous stage 16, Mont Ventoux, also Jonas attacked multiple times but still.. Pogi glued to the wheel. Just waiting for the right moment & boom nuclear attack leaving everyone else in the dust. This kind of attack that Pogi did, no one in the world can respond straight away. Even Jonas have to just let go & pace himself.

Before MVDP abondon, I looked forward to stage 21, where this year final stage will feature a cobble road. But since MVDP no longer in the race, Pogi might even won the final stage & gain more time. Maybe WVA can challenge here?

For today, stage 19. The last mountain stage, La Plagne. I think this is the last stage for GC riders to try something. Make or break stage.
What do you guys think? Same script? Breakaway to win the stage? I go for breakaway since there are still teams yet to win stages, I think they will give it a go.

Mohoric, rarely seen him in the year TDF, not involved in a lot of breakaway. Maybe got assigned other role? Still remember his iconic interview though

yeah.... that interview is very touching.
Respect to him pouring all his feeling out.

it should that champions are also human. We keep expect them to be the top, to win, to crush all others.

We tend to forget there could be just one winner.
you already gave 200%, just someone else give 201% then you are a loser, not done enough, etc.

this comment by someone eating potato chips on a couch.

Coming back to TDF
Tadej seems to be one step ahead of JV in each of the battle.
all JV attacks are responded- even when JV has a few support rider and Poggi being isolated.

Can see JV give it all, and Tadej just play safe and reserve power - only to flex a little during the last 200 meter to show who is boss. I bet he could attack earlier and win more time- just not necessary.

Lets see today will Tadej go for stage win. Recall last year there are few 1-v-1 to win the stage. This year they are mostly fighting for 2nd or 3rd spot.

TDF 2025 is completed. as expected Pogi is the winner. He's at another level this year. the best Jonas this year still can't beat him even his team also. Pogi getting mature. Ride defensively and fully attack when he saw others can follow him.

TDF this time from my POV, is the hardest TDF in modern era. Visma team setting the higher pace since the day 1 plus with route stage i can't believe all the ride can follow the pace that has been setup from Visma.

Yes indeed it is tough.... the way i feel is that they put a lot of flat on Wk1.... then compress all the climbs on week 2 and week 3.

Is it as exciting- ii dont feel as such. Yeah there are a few attacks but ended in stalemate. Tadej wont most of them, but it doesnt matter as not for the Stage win. ( compare to last year )

My other takes.....
- no other team/rider beside Visma putting a good challenge. So just 2 teams in the game.
- good sharing of Stage win with other team-so other sponsors and team also get a share of joy.
- Sprint finish not as offensive this year.....
- Wout still a beast during his good day.
- Remco... big let down, is it falling sick, or other reasons?
- MVDP- againt half way good bye....
- Ineos got a 2 stage win this year- i think last year almost wipe out. This doing not good for Pina being the most exclusive bike

so- 4 weeks back then we do La Vuelta.
Jonas says he gonna ride? man.... can he recover in time?

- Sprint finish not as offensive this year..... - [b]Bini performance this year is very chap ayam. Philipsen crash, then only have Milan, Merlier. Dylan, Arnaud, Tobias all not perform[\b]
- Wout still a beast during his good day. - [b]ok la, overrated rider for me hehe[\b]
- Remco... big let down, is it falling sick, or other reasons? -[b] i read from news his broken ribs from last year accident not fully heal?[\b]
- MVDP- againt half way good bye....  - [b]should be proud for this edition. he tries the best to be top 10 GC rider. last year performance so-so [\b]
- Ineos got a 2 stage win this year- i think last year almost wipe out. This doing not good for Pina being the most exclusive bike - [b]ok la better than nothing hehe. 2nd rich team but don't have good rider. [\b]

so- 4 weeks back then we do La Vuelta.

Pogi & Jonas can be considered semi-alien already, while others are just normal human beings. Gap from Jonas to Lipowitz is huge
- good sharing of Stage win with other team-so other sponsors and team also get a share of joy.
- Sprint finish not as offensive this year.....
Milan wins easily. Last year green jersey, Bini not even challenging. Other sprinter as well
- Wout still a beast during his good day.
As predicted, without MVDP, Wout is still the fav for classic type race. BTW what an attack from Wout to distance Tadej. Not many can do that
- Remco... big let down, is it falling sick, or other reasons?
On his last interview, no definitive answer. There has been a few grand tour that he abandon so far. Maybe mind issues rather that physical?
- MVDP- againt half way good bye....

I do hope Jonas to ride the Vuelta. He only race participate in a few races this year..
