See? Say Chinese not patriotic enough, not many want to join the noble cause of serving the country. But when they do, still get labeled anyway. Faidzal, gundamsp01, and 3 others liked this post

PAS warns of disciplinary action over insensitive remarks
PETALING JAYA: PAS says it will not hesitate to take disciplinary action against any of its members who engage in insensitive behaviour that undermines national unity and fosters disharmony. PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said a controversial Facebook post by a division chief regarding newly promoted lieutenant-general Johnny Lim was completely against the party’s stance. Lim’s promotion made him the first senior Malaysian Chinese officer to attain the three-star rank, and Takiyuddin stressed that the appointment was a historic event that should be celebrated by all Malaysians. “Diversity and differences in background should never be used as a reason or justification to treat any member of society unfairly,” he said in a statement tonight. “Nor should they be used as grounds to deny progress, opportunities, achievements, abilities, or the legitimate aspirations of any individual or group. “Racism or racial attitudes in any form or colour have no place in PAS and are incompatible with the nation’s broader cultural values and national aspirations.” Yesterday, Sungai Buloh PAS chief Zaharudin Muhammad speculated in a Facebook post about Malaysia having its first Chinese prime minister in the next 30 to 40 years. The post included a screenshot of a news report on Lim’s promotion to lieutenant-general, with a caption stating that the image was merely for decorative purposes. Zaharudin has since said the image of Lim had no connection to the “satirical message” in his posting, which drew a public backlash. The post has since been deleted. Takiyuddin said the post was in complete contradiction to official policies, resolutions and vision of PAS, as outlined in its constitution, resolutions of its annual general meetings, party meetings or official statements. He said PAS remains committed to upholding the principles and realities of Malaysia’s ethnic and religious diversity, which is a “unique and valuable” feature of Malaysian society that must be “nurtured carefully”. Takiyuddin said PAS clearly demonstrated this when it agreed to amend the party’s constitution to allow non-Muslims to become members of the Islamic party. “The talent, achievements, progress and success of any Malaysian in any field should be a cause for collective celebration, not the opposite. “PAS extends its congratulations to lieutenant-general Lim,” he said. https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...nsitive-remarks |

QUOTE(headache @ Jun 25 2025, 07:06 PM) Old man was rejected in Langkawi, the only way he's going to win again is to align himself with the ultras. He's too old anyway but he still has aces up his sleeves. Remember many towkays (and gomen officials) are behind him. Although madani is hitting quite a few of them, many are behind UMNO-MCA and even Bersatu. The towkays also love the ultras of any race. They'll even support PIS if it benefits them. I wouldn’t really put anwar in moderate, but somewhere in between moderate and extreme thoughThe Cina/Bharat ultras are throwing tantrum because they thought Anwar/Madani is going to be uber-liberal which is practically suicide for any malay politician/political party in M'sia. They're overreaching with their expectations of DAP and PKR when these parties couldn't even win a simple majority in Malaya. They are totally rejected in Borneo (so much for reformasi/muhibbah). I've long said this and I'm going to repeat it, the choice is either moderate Islam or more extreme Islam in M'sia going forward. Many of the liberal malays are hypocrites. The few who are not are ostracised. Can DAP/liberals win in a malay majority seat when they couldn't even make leeway amongst the natives in S&S? Remember Trump and not going out to vote? Let's see when PIS come to power next GE if the non ultras dare go guling-guling on the streets then. Who knows, may be PIS will bring a lot of development to M'sia ala Gulf Arabs? :lol2: Let them cut their nose to spite their face. It's not going to hurt us (moderate muslim) that much given our way of life. |

QUOTE(jaapers @ Jun 25 2025, 04:44 PM) The best thing is that they will always claim they are not racist. Actually no need to claim, their supporters are all happily racists as well. QUOTE Honestly, UMNO has its share of people who believe key positions in the country should be reserved for Malays/Muslims. However, over the past decade, Moon Party has taken racism to new extremes. This individual, Hadi’s son-in-law, exemplifies Moon’s mindset. Their stance isn’t just racist—it implies non-Malays cannot be true Malaysian citizens. In their view, non-Malays who don’t convert to Islam should be treated as Dhimmi. Look it up and you will understand why political Islam is so dangerous for this country. In this country political islam is not only linked to religion but to race as well. And you know what? No official action will be taken against this guy. This shows you that you can spread racism in this country openly, but only in one direction. Madani will not do anything. And you know why as well. #Malaysia #PoliticalIslam #Racism #Dhimmi |
