I am starting this topic and hope that it can continue forever, so that others (especially those who wants to buy new insurance policy) can learn what we have experience with our unsuccessful claims or problems with our existing insurance. rclxub.gif

I recently was diagnosed with 3rd stage cancer and experienced with my insurance claim.

1) Generali Travel Insurance - All forms of cancer are not claimable. It is stated in their small print. A lot of people don't know about this; even tour agency that recommend us to buy from them. So, please take note.

2) Allianz Medical Insurance (pay and claim type) - their e-invoice only states a lump sump claim amount, and does not say what is claimable and what is not. Already ding dong with them for 3 months and still the same. Maybe they are doing this, so that one cannot dispute them. So, please take note.

I will be putting up for my CI claim later and will be updating it if I face any difficulty.

Thanks all and please continue with your inputs on the problem you faced when putting up your claims with your insurance.

OP..what do you mean by " all forms of cancer not claimable with Travel insurance? Are you referring to cancer treatment, specifically, or includent accident?

It's known that insurance does not cover any EXISTING illnesses when the policy takes effect

No. I am claiming my signed up tours, and flight tickets, that I cannot go because have to do my treatment s.

What Generali said.. As long as it's cancer,, regardless of what stage or what type, your travel claim will not cover.

We only know about this cancer in Jan2025 and our tour was in Apr 2025. We bought the policy in Oct 2024.

If the argument is cancers need years to develop then is consider "pre-existing"... Then so does all other chronic diseases. So, does it mean all chronic diseases will not be cover by Generali travel insurance? (I didn't ask, as I am too disappointed. Feel cheated).
