Does anyone know how Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection work? Lets say I'm playing an Wii online multiplayer like Mario strikers or something, does it connect to Nintendo's servers? Or does it connect to someone else's Wii that's hosting the game? If it connects to Nintendo's servers, where are the servers located? Is the lag/latency/ping good? Been trying to find info online, but can't seem to get any.

If anyone here is already playing Mario Strikers or some other online game, can please comment on how the lag is? Thanks

Nintendo's Wifi service is just a network hub that let's you find players. It's more of a match making service.

Once the opponent/companion has been found, you both link directly. And if it's four players like Metroid Hunters, 1 host, 3 connect.

Altho that won't be the same for other 3rd-party online titles.
