But bandaraya should also look at any clogged drain and drainage holes. Especially drainage holes, many are small af.

That is one solution but we need to disperse the development. Our infrastructure was not built to cater so many developments in one place. Someone posted about the development in Sri Muda some time back. The local authorities must be firm to reject any development that exceeds the capacity of the infrastructure. Easy said than done.

I anticipate the area around the old Motorola area to be the next area. Sunway is developing that area so much without any concerns about the local drainages etc. we shall see when that area is fully developed. Going to be a nightmare ….

really kesian Taman Sri Muda residents. Whenever it rains.... they get scared and worried. Their cars total loss.... furnitures, pianos, TV etc all destroyed. They have suffered for decades.

When they sell their house...nobody wanna buy cos they know sure flood again and again with no solution. They wanna rent it out, nobody wanna rent from them. The worst part is they still have to pay the Bank every month!...so no choice, have to continue to stay there and suffer for god knows how many year more from now. Let us be thankful and grateful we are not in the same situation as them.

Sri Muda flood mitigation project needed 2 years to install new pumps and 1 year to supply electricity. Finally functioning in April 2025 but maybe wayar kena curi recently deswai the toll flood.

Good la. Maybe the residents don’t have as much confidence as you la,, since they stay three and have floods every time heavy rain. But I am glad they can sleep peacefully at night when it rains now

Phase 1 took 3 years to install pump + siren + connect electricity. I dunno how many phases their flood mitigation program has.
