Yeah.. as if their ATM is common.

Anyway, all bank also following the same. Now, ambank also says must go ATM.

Maybank/CIMB ask ATM I understand, plenty of them.. but Public Bank?

I bought a new phone just to use the Public Bank apps.. MBSB bank also same, need to use new phone

Maybank and CIMB don't need to use Android 10 and above

After buy new phone, Maybank and Public Bank need to go ATM to verify and there's cooldown of 8 or 12 hours, can't remember

CIMB don't need to go ATM but have cooldown period also

hone companies try to sell more phones and use banks as their proxies

Last time I change phone, can call Public Bank to activate.
Whether you like it or not, other banks also start moving away from older Android.

the sohai thing is when i click pay in the old website, they redirect me to the new website and at the new website i have to look for the bill again and for PBB CC i have to reenter card no and amount
totally no links to the old website

Thing is, only Malaysia banks need higher Android version

verify inside bank. ATM not mandatory. just show IC.

because older android no longer having security patches...same like older windows no longer supported my Micro$oft no longer as secure as the newer ones with newer patches. Same for IOs also older ones no longer supported.

Because a lot of Malaysian are fucking dumb.

A lot of scams happened due to their own actions.

When a small group of people make noise about being scammed, in the end the whole group need to bear the consequences. Which is bank negara, banks need to increase the security for their customers.

Need to use latest phone with latest software.

I've checked mobile banking apps in other countries and they don't need requirement to use latest android or ios.

I'm personally involved during covid vaccination programme and need to assist a lot of public in navigating and using the Mysejahtera app.

When I scrolled their phone, I'm so disgusted seeing a lot of you installing crap apps you don't even need.

Some of them installed glitters wallpapers or any craps that makes the phone slow.

And u are wondering why Malaysian easily get scammed.

Too many rubbish inside phone.
