Dota With Vostro 1400Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5270 @ 1.40GHz Memory: 512mb 667MHz DDR2- SDRAM Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS (128MB DDR3) Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 Retail Drivers: Microsoft DirectX 9.0c (Nov 2007), NVIDIA ForceWare G86 v156.19 WHQL XPcurrently i only have warcraft 3 inside my lappy and with the growth of blue-server, most ppl will consider the lappy whether Dota with high setting is playable or not. for the below benchmarking, i set all detail to high detail with resolution at 1280x800. the game still can run at good 50+ fps from the 3dmark 06 this also notice that with 512mb ram, 8400m GS also can reach 1.4k probably with 2gb ram the score might even reach 1.6k 3DMARK 06 DoTA at high setting This post has been edited by stevenlee: Dec 1 2007, 11:50 AM

Perfect World Online With Vostro 1400Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5270 @ 1.40GHz Memory: 512mb 667MHz DDR2- SDRAM Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS (128MB DDR3) Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 Retail Drivers: Microsoft DirectX 9.0c (Nov 2007), NVIDIA ForceWare G86 v156.19 WHQL XPPerfect World Online, 1 of the most popular online game which set to overtake WoW. With 1280x800 resolution, Perfect World Online manage to cripple my system and running at 10 fps due to 512mb ram. Thus i do believe, with 1gb ram, Perfect World Online will be able to run around 20-30 fps with medium setting. Below is the screen shot which setting is at medium » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by stevenlee: Dec 2 2007, 03:55 PM

QUOTE(HellRyzer(tm) @ Dec 2 2007, 12:52 PM) I have yet to find a time to download that demo. Since my bro already got the full game but I haven't borrow from him yet. Let's see what your Crysis benchmarks will look like. I'm particular looking forward to because we have the same graphics. last night my internet connection down....=.= need to redownload again... duno when got time to download... Added on December 2, 2007, 3:46 pmCommand and Conquer 3 - Tiberium War With Vostro 1400Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5270 @ 1.40GHz Memory: 1.5mb 667MHz DDR2- SDRAM (upgraded after benchamarking with Perfect World) Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS (128MB DDR3) Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 Retail Drivers: Microsoft DirectX 9.0c (Nov 2007), NVIDIA ForceWare G86 v156.19 WHQL XPDue to internet connection problem last night, i was not able to provide crysis benchmarking. However, i provide benchmark on CnC3 which is one of the popular game from Crysis developer as well. from the default setting, the CnC3 will automatically set the setting to low detail @ 800x600. However, in my benchmarking i change the resolution to 1280x800 while other setting remain the same. Below is the screenshot from login, setting as well in game for 5 min. Overall fps was nice and steady at 30. Even at low setting the image for CnC3 still very sharp and nice. Overall this 8400M GS is very impresive card as my fren running intel 965 chipset with X3100 was not able to run the game (might be due to other things which i not so sure as my fren told his IBM machine T61 was not able to run). » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Welcoming Screen Setting Screen In Game Screen This post has been edited by stevenlee: Dec 2 2007, 03:57 PM

If you don't mind. for me vostro really great... normal gaming this lappy is performance very well.... for me i get 14" for portability.....if u prefer gaming u can opt to 15' which is abit expensive..

QUOTE(chika138 @ Dec 6 2007, 10:54 PM) ya agree2 v steven but still don hope too much from 8600gt for crysis my 8400gs still bit lag even under 800x600 n all low settings, totally gone case under 1024x768. according to my fren his inspiron 1420 run COD4 smoothly on 1280x800 resolution, gonna try tat after my exam end of this month thx for the support... btw if you buying a laptop just to support crysis, my advise better buy a laptop (sorry typo error should be desktop ).... for me laptop is for portability and some medium gaming only... 8400gs is more than enuf for now...
