I have a question and i would like to ask here

How come a same GC can have different memory? or do we call it dedicated memory which im not sure :-s
For example, Toshiba M300 using 128MB ATI HD 3470 and Asus F8 using 256mb ATI HD 3470? i thought they both using the same GC?

driver problem? i have a friend who owns cq40 face the same problem when he change os from xp to vista.

I have some question to ask experts here. Is it safe to play high end game on laptop with low end GC on low setting? For example, vegas 2 or cod4/5 on ati 3470. The games run well on 20-40 fps. Temp goes up to max 66celcius for gpu and cpu. Because i heard some ppl told me that doing this will harm the GC.

And there is 1 game- vegas 2, sometimes the screen goes blank a while, window says that 'The display driver has stopped working and has recovered'. I nvr OC and change gc driver. This only occur on vegas 2 but not on cod4 and dmc4. The max temp when playing vegas 2 is same as cod4/dmc4. Is it safe to play this game as often as i wish? Pls advice.
