Hello sifu2, recently looking to add on an ACP awning by the side of my house and wondering how is the noise level during rain compare to glass awning? is it bearable?

I'm also thinking to add rockwool + alumiunium strip ceiling at the bottom of acp; not sure if it's an overkill!

No need to be complicated. Now got PU metal roof. So, no need to add fiberglass whatever. Google for something like this

Any recommended supplier for this?

I think now many companies manufacture this. It is not about supplier but find good company that can do good job. Find company that do roofing and ask if they have this type of PU metal roof. Probably most do this now.

Last time only metal and I was reluctant to use on patio. Now I used this and very satisfied. I can walk on it without even denting it.

ACP noise insulation/level is much better than PU

Glass awning?

Don't put glass, very hot and easier to get dirty because it is see thru..

u may consider PU Metal Double Deck, ACP may leak at the joint after some time, metal deck use interlock way, so consider leak proof.

Noise level, ACP and PU Metal i thk almost the same
Heat Resistant, PU Metal better than ACP

If u plan to install aluminum ceiling, u may consider UPVC Roof also. Material like water pipe.
