I've been holding off because I'm too scared about the stupid power cable melting, can happen to anyone on any card. Its beyond stupid.

Been looking at getting a 9070XT but the problem is there are no waterblocks for it other than by Alphacool and the shipping from Germany to here is ... expensive

why, most cooler dont have problem to cool down the navi48 gpu. but the memory module is different story, samsung module is cooler but longer timing.
even the cheapest pulse model able to tame the gpu at very low fan speed, but it forgot to cool down the memory module

Bought my 5070 at 2.8k.

But just use trade in method. Not gonna pay at premium. Been doing this since covid.

Last time use gpu until cannot use.

ady checked with GPU-Z, ROPS at 112 as it should.
cable can only hope & pray, ady connected the 12V-2x6 cable included with my Corsair psu

Cheapest I've seen this card go for was 2.5k which is quite decent. Cheaper than 4070 super dulu

Still on the fence whether want upgrade my 1080ti, rumors Q3-Q4 this year will have 5080ti, 9080xt and Intel b7xx series coming, want to see the pricing then.

Also 800w power supply 10 years ago need upgrade to latest atx3.1, worry about the burning on Nvidia connector

Oh well I have a 9x120mm Radiator by Bykski, like the Alphacool MORA that Derbauer uses.

Have the radiator outside my room with the tubes routed to it, so in my room I just have the fans running at their lowest speed for airflow over things like the RAM and SSDs so its silent in the room while all the heat and noise is dumped outside into the giant radiator.

In this kind of scenario, having the GPU not be watercooled will ruin things. Like it will take it from being silent to ... not silent

I dont really need to change things, but I've been getting random crashes recently and I'm wondering if its because of the Nvidia drivers people keep talking about online. Been annoying the heck out of me, Indiana Jones is completely unstable and Robocop was prone to crashing every couple of hours... though Space Marine 2 and Alan Wake 2 ran fine. Though no real way to know if its an issue with something else or Windows 11 so not sure if I wanna spend that much money to experiment either
