For top, just bring a sweater or light jacket. Preferably, wear jeans rather than pants to keep legs warm. Everything is gonna be slightly wet and mossy from the mist so slippers/flipflops are not recommended.

Nightlife is pubs, indoor park, arcades, high class eateries, gambling, movies or theatre shows. Morning and afternoon add outdoor park, maybe some sight-seeing at the various farms (strawberry, bee and tea) and temple. Be prepared to spend a bit. Don't go all the way there just to kiasu on entertainment.

Depending on how many people going up, you may consider parking at Genting Premium Outlet and taking the cable car up. If just 2-3 people on a day trip, definitely take this option. If got whole family and staying overnight, just drive up and park at hotel. Parking is a bitch especially on long weekends.
