Hey guys, putting aside my ragebaiting/trolling in /k/, I will be going to Genting Highland next month for the first time ever

What to expect? How is the nightlife? How cold? Etc, etc.

Just pack and go, nothing to expect.

If you want to know what to expect just search in klook

Bring a normal jacket will do, winter jacket is overkill

Foods are much more expensive too, tourist spot as usual so don't complain

It's a boring place unless you are a kid or a gambling addict.

Highline Street there saja or 1st floor drinking restaurant. Ayu Awana there got makan-makan but no that party you expected.

u can cover from head to toe to shield yourself from the coldness ....brrrrr....

Bring more cashes and make sure you have enough balance in your credit cards

Night life ah, theres a club there and pass midnight will have two legged jiken walking around.

U plan to go casino or theme park

For top, just bring a sweater or light jacket. Preferably, wear jeans rather than pants to keep legs warm. Everything is gonna be slightly wet and mossy from the mist so slippers/flipflops are not recommended.

Nightlife is pubs, indoor park, arcades, high class eateries, gambling, movies or theatre shows. Morning and afternoon add outdoor park, maybe some sight-seeing at the various farms (strawberry, bee and tea) and temple. Be prepared to spend a bit. Don't go all the way there just to kiasu on entertainment.

Depending on how many people going up, you may consider parking at Genting Premium Outlet and taking the cable car up. If just 2-3 people on a day trip, definitely take this option. If got whole family and staying overnight, just drive up and park at hotel. Parking is a bitch especially on long weekends.

Anyway, I think 3 days 2 nights is more than enough

Nothing much to do there unless u go to casino and theme park

Food prices are so expensive over there

Just went 2 weeks ago. 1 day trip.

1. Can stay somewhere near awana sky. Then take cable care to and fro up.
2. Bring IC. The tickets are cheaper if u buy with Malaysian IC.
3. Outdoor theme park very long queue. U need to wait average 60 to 90 min for a 2 min ride. U can however, download an app and sign up for virtual queuing.
4. Food and drinks very costly. Cheaper to eat fast food. Eg pizza hut. A/W.
