i bought a flat in N9 and previously i bought a flat in Selangor but later decided to sell as i moved to N9. However this flat is bad with the neighbors and i decided to move...so if i move/ sell this flat, will i be charged with tax for not staying for 6 years?

Sell back same price with no gain = no tax lo..

Usually wont gain one.. sure lose

U can minus out cost of acquisition and disposal, then shud be negative if ur selling price is similar

i want to buy new flat which cost me around $85k...so it will impossible to sell at the same price..i guess i shall wait till enough time which is 6 years onwards. otherwise i will have to fork out the amount of tax which is quite impossible gor me to pay.

for RPGT:

eg buy 100k, sell 100k , no profit = no tax
buy 100k, sell 95k, losses = no tax
buy 100k, sell 120k, have profit = have tax on 20k

however u can deduct out agent fee, legal fee during purchase & during sale, renovation cost (all must have receipt). if after deduct, is lower than your buying price, then also no tax
