500 charge cycles is common la for most Li-ion batteries, and it doesn't mean cannot use anymore. Just that the battery would start degrading at that point.

Lets say you change battery after 500 cycles. At 110km @ full charge, that's 55,000 km of distance before you need to change battery. The amount of service you pay for a car moving that much is more expensive than the bike

The Yadea GT20 uses a graphene lead-acid battery (72V 38Ah) that costs only about RM100 to replace-new.

500 charge cycles = will last average 2-3 years = similar to ICE-V car's 12V lead-acid battery.

ICE-V kapchai's lead-acid battery will also last average 2-3 years and costs about RM50 to replace-new.

I see quite a number of electric scooters/mopeds in my area. This would be no different. There is certainly a market for it.

I tested the Blueshark sometime ago. Not for me, but I can see why some of these electric scooters may be appealing to some people. The Blueshark was expensive and battery swap stations are very few and rare.

You buy this people automatic assume you living in landed, chest +99 inches. 2xxx can get SYM only.

ban those. kapcai and kei car were not designed for intercity highway travel when it was conceived.

It doenst make sense that we ban selling cars with zero ncap, mandate airbags on new cars then allow motorized two wheelers with no airbags and negative ncap that can go 120kph.

Honestly, i dont think kapchais can do long distance...at least comfortably or safely at higher speeds. But thats just my opinion. Many others will beg to differ...and no doubt take them on higher speed roads.

Same like these urban mobility EV scooters. They are not meant to travel at higher speed roads, relegated to intracity use or small town, taman use. Where your speed limits are usually under 60km/h. They have their uses. Just not big roads. No doubt some might take them where they are not supposed to.

These EV scooters are just simple to use. Just twist and go. No gears. No start. Just turn on, twist and go. The Blueshark actually has a reverse "gear". People have accustomed themselves with charging stuff up every night anyway. This would be no different.

There are kapchais sold under 3k. The old Aveta Ranger routinely goes for close to 3k. The basic Sym 110 can be had for around 3.2k. If you find those number plate bikes, and you can get them well under 3k easily. Incidentally, I found one WMOTO cub classic, brand new registered (for plate purposes) with 1km on the clock going for 2.5k.

My JMB Security has 2 of those cheap china scooters they take on patrol. Curiously, seem to be holding up well after 2 years.
