anyway, there still many downside....
example, for 30min charging is just non peak hours...
i hv family, and most time we travelling during holiday time...
imagine travel during CNY or Hari Raya on highway with EV ... find charger might hv issue in future like that china is facing now....
not only wasting time to find charge.. you also need to spend time planning properly for a trip and make sure there is EV charge surrounding..
I did a lot research recently as i plan to replace my wife car... EV still not a good choice.. unless just to try out what is the fun of driving EV.. other that that.. i dont see benefit yet ..
When come to travelling long distances, EV cannot match ICE in term of convenience.example, for 30min charging is just non peak hours...

For instance, we travel early to avoid traffic jam towards PG.
Can drop by any favourite place for breakfast & lunch without any worries
With EV, those place will be a thing of the past. Need to eat around those EV chargers.
If want to outpace those jam timings also cannot if take in charging time and going favourites eat place.
All this add up the journeys time.
Of cos can try using in car range available to estimate journeys but the anxiety kill off the mood of carefree travelling
The best of both worlds is hybrid but they come with both set of it's problem too
