That corner memang many crashes.. many car either jam their brakes at last minute and spun out or crash the apex.

Ayam just be safe drive on slowest lane. But looking at this footage, gotta be cautious 360 also when some sohai lost grip at that section and swerve to the left lane.

"di" does not carry any meaning of sengaja nor tak sengaja. It just a passive form.

One of the stupidest expressway design ever. Coming from a high speed straight stretch to this bonkers of a curve with elevation changes. They just paved it & then ran out space to accommodate the office on the left so had to do this double sharp corners?? Would be lovely if it is corners of a Grand Prix track.

This corner is well known to be an accident prone area. Already got signs ask you slow down, and even got the slow strips on road. Still want to go so fast..... oh wait, CCP.... dunno read Melei.

weird I pass by this spot around tuesday 10/6 got accident also similar got one car terbabas until that grassy area

already got red lines before curve, you should be slowing down but still wanna press gas. If follow the kmph based on the dashcam, that car looked like going above 100kmph

Typical Malaysian road design. Like that day the Bangla crashed into the pedestrian and fell into the river. I'm not defending the Bangla driver, but if one car has to stop here because failed to merge, then all the cars behind who were doing highway speeds need to slam on the brakes. This is the same problem as the SUKE exit at Cheras. After too many motorcycles kena langgar here, they changed the design of the road.

This problem also exists at Maluri, but it's even worse because you have to slam on the brakes for pedestrians.

That area is constant accident area especially those who don't use MEX often and don't know the danger

A lot of cars are speeding before as it's straight road right up to that ridiculous bend

I think that road was not supposed to be like that and was supposed to connect to MEX2 but MEX2 was not completed due to corruption

Instead if all are just trained to speed and brake + ignoring all the road sign/condition, we have a bigger problem there, which i think top class engineer also cannot help.

fwd are tune not to oversteer, as once it oversteer your car will fishtail and you cannot save it anymore, just pray you dont hit something. Poeple who mod with rear sway bars can sometime cause this to happen.

RWD with front engine usually not really prone to oversteer butbalance car or rear engine can oversteer easily.
Porsche, MR2, s2000 etc can lift off oversteer easily and you will kiss the pole or tree, usually cannot save as well

rwd can oversteer if it is powerful enough, it is call powersliding where you apply enough power for the rear to break traction to step out or like donuts

oversteer drifting is before the corner where you flick the car before the apex or hand brake to lose the traction and power it out
oversteer at low speed is easy to control, at high speed you better know what you are doing

Just the basic release accelerator and brake in mid corner, panicked press accelerator again

FWD will maybe fishtail, but being the brakes is front bias, the risk is low, panicking and press back the accelerator will just push the car further to the outside of the corner, thus understeer

RWD mean while, lifting accelerator may as well kick the back out, and adding braking shift the weight to the front further, while panicking and press back the accelerator will swing the back out even more, thus oversteer

this is the lift off oversteer....

by default will not happen to majority of cars except RR configuration cars or S2000

most of the time modification of the suspension system, adding stiffer bars, etc then to dial away the original suspension engineer's setup.

I used rubbish tires on my RWD to slide about easily in the wet. I can powerslide in any gear at any speed in the wet, but it never lift off oversteer before.
I put UHP tires recently, and still learning about it as I dont drive it that often.

Modern cars, including many BMWs, are designed with a degree of understeer built in. This is a safety feature to help prevent drivers from losing control, especially in situations like entering a corner too fast.


Oversteer is a result of one of three driver actions:

- Applying excessive, sudden throttle in a powerful gear whilst steering (in a rear wheel drive car).

- Excessive ‘trail braking’

In the first instance, the harsh application of too much power can overcome the rear tyres’ traction and create wheelspin, with the lateral inertia from the steering input causing the spinning tyres to slide sideways.

In the last two instances, excessive forward weight transfer leaves the now light rear tyres with little grip, resulting in an oversteer slide when the heavily laden front tyres turn into a bend. This is known as ‘lift-off’ oversteer and can affect all cars, whether with rear, front or all-wheel drive.
