Hello everyone. I need help badly.

My wife is trying to unlock his bro's phone. His brother passed away unexpectedly.

Phone type - Android.

Are there shops able to do that?

Technically, you can't unless the phone previously turn on "USB debugging". By default, it is turn off. If it turn on "USB debugging" then you can use 3rd party software to turn off screen lock.

Condolences. Does your wife have access to his other device, for example laptop or pc that is logged in to the same gmail?

I heard that there are backdoor ways in which Samsung (for example)... their service center can over-ride but need official court letter. This would be at least 6 more months in which the urgency of the issue would be defeated.

Unfortunately the phone is his bro's main 'device'. Lesson learnt - always leave behind clear and explicit instructions for your loved ones, don't leave them in a mess.

His bro is a 'loner' personality and was found deceased after 1/2 week. Rapid phase of decomposition started in which have to cremate. So, yeah - no facial recognition or fingerprint possible at all.

If it's soo easily to crack and access the phone...

Android would be the the most crappiest mobile OS out there...

there is no such thing ok, the phone during setup is encrypted.. with pin/credentials and only you know the phone pin/credentials upon boot is when the data is decrypted.

if not it would remain encrypted...

if you want to wipe out entire contents and reuse the phone, then thats another thing... can be done...

Hmm, you probably just require the sim card, take it out and put it into a new phone, reinstall the apps, then recall all the login via forget password and get code from the phone.
