Hi all, one of my family members has lung cancer and is currently under chemo treatment. I need some recommendations for buying a new air purifier specifically suited for this type of patient. My budget is not more than 2k.

Thx~

Air purifier is a need, but no need so ex (make sure coverage area is considered). Most important is your house is cleaned daily (sapu+mop) with closed + aircond. No animal fur.

I like the ones with the ions

But cleaning the floor is super important

Also have bought a couple of sensors to detect o3, co, co2, tvoc and air quality

Prefer the one with mesh pre filter so you can just wipe off the huge dust particle, less stress on the hepa

Hard to go wrong with most air filters though nowadays. Definitely have plenty of budget there. Might even get a few to put around the house

Can look at Xiaomi. Their most high end no more than 2k. If got budget then can go for Dyson.

If you wanna buy air purifer, important question is: Where you want to put the air purifier? In the living room or in the bedroom (of the patient)?

You can try look for BlueAir brand, they have the best performance air purifier. The keyword is Air Change per Hour (ACH) when buying air purifier, the higher the better, so buy according to the size of the room where you wanna put the air purifier.

Change bedsheet super important.

HEPA filter actually cheap. But human mind is very weird. If the purifier cost less ppl would not want to buy it. My wife one of them. I bought a honeywell air filter. Does its job (i think) but wife still thinking want to change to amway one that cost 3k. I read the paper specs its worse than my honeywell, but somehow selling 2x more expensive.

You are better off with buying freeze dried broccoli sprout, sencha green tea to support the family members over air filter as damage have already been done.

Why? You want to kill cancer stem cells. The above are example of stuff that can kill cancer stem cells.

If you really want to buy, but one with HEPA filter.
