It only works in Sarawak. Reasons:

1. Islam is NOT dominant religion in Sarawak. Sarawak has many culture and religions. None of them is dominant. In fact, Christianity is the most one, but they are not dominating other religions.

2. If Abang Jo support any religion like in the west (support Islam), Sarawakians WILL NOT be happy. Because they practice a lot of religions. Sarawakians are made up of many races: Iban, Chinese, Malay, Dayak, Bidayuh, Melanau, etc. All of them want to be respected. So, keep harmony because you can't dominate.

3. THEY ARE DAMN MORE CALM AND MATURE. Fuck the west sikit sikit want scold people and be toxic. Sikit sikit triggered and jealous. I don't understand why west is like Hong Kong. Like to escalate things and toxic. Don't want to lose in arguments and just keep insisting you are right and use intimidation to win. On the other hand, Sarawakians are well behaved. The Melanau and Malays are humble. They won't get triggered and always polite, let others first, etc. When they see other people more successful or what, they don't fight back or push others down. When they got offended, they keep it themselves. Of course not everyone like that, but most of them are like that. This significantly reduces tensions.

4. The Iban is good as long as you don't mistreat them. They just want to live their life and enjoy foods, drink beers, and smoke. The Chinese just want money and do business. So, leave them alone and do whatever they want as long as don't bully others. The Melanau is 50% Islam and 50% Christian. So, don't belittle any religion because half of your race is the another religion.

5. They just want a peaceful place to live. A slow life and non toxic living. A boring but stable job. A happy state to live. Abang Jo knows this and he knows what his people want.

TLDR, fuck west. Sarawak is just far better but sadly money all go west and leave Sarawak poor.
