Ultra high-net-worth individuals" typically live in luxury far beyond the average affluent household. Their homes often come with a mortgage exceeding $2 million, situated in prime locations or custom-built estates. It's common for them to employ two to three live-in maids or domestic staff to manage their sprawling properties and daily needs.

Their garages house a fleet of high-end vehicles—BMWs are standard, often with at least two, alongside other premium brands like Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz, or Range Rovers. It's not unusual for them to own a luxury MPV such as a Toyota Alphard for family or chauffeur-driven convenience. Their lifestyle reflects an emphasis on comfort, prestige, and exclusivity.

Many parents who opt for private education are not necessarily wealthy. There are working-class families who save up to send their children to private schools

then u should know already sending kid to these school will make a black hole to your wallet, why sudden complain ?
*
Ya just send your kids to SK

businesses will take this opportunity to raise prices, exemption does nothing, in the end all costs pass to consumers.

Gomen is too bloated, they keep collecting taxes and hiring more gomen servants, this will not end well.

Actually kids who did well in public school is 10x smarter than those in private school cos they compete against all kind of characters with limited / dilapidated resources & facilities.
Meanwhile advantage of private schools mostly is comfortable & conducive learning environment plus being friends with rich kids.  brows.gif

They could be smarter, but the public school system is giving them a disadvantage as compared to kids in international schools. Those from public schools generally can’t speak and present well in English. Also, they need to spend lots of time to study so many subjects in so many different languages, making them having less time to pursue something out of their curriculum. All in all, public school kids might do well in exam, but not as good as how private schools preparing the kids for the future.

So many people here escape taxes, thats why only 11% pay income tax but you see how many people got multi million RM homes and cars etc.

One way to get them to pay the taxes they avoid on income is to tax consumption on luxury goods.

EG they can afford to go private schools that charge 100k+ a year, tax that. Tax all those cars that cost 300K+. Increase stamp duty on houses that cost 3m+. Tax lobsters etc.

Luxury tax would be great, but this government keeps delaying it and not implementing it.

How is it theres disadvantage in public school in terms of system? If speaking english is your benchmark then we are as good as fcked. Studying in different languages makes one more versatile no?

Even riches want to avoid responsibilities, not acceptable at a macro scale.
