They could be smarter, but the public school system is giving them a disadvantage as compared to kids in international schools. Those from public schools generally can’t speak and present well in English. Also, they need to spend lots of time to study so many subjects in so many different languages, making them having less time to pursue something out of their curriculum. All in all, public school kids might do well in exam, but not as good as how private schools preparing the kids for the future.

So many people here escape taxes, thats why only 11% pay income tax but you see how many people got multi million RM homes and cars etc.

One way to get them to pay the taxes they avoid on income is to tax consumption on luxury goods.

EG they can afford to go private schools that charge 100k+ a year, tax that. Tax all those cars that cost 300K+. Increase stamp duty on houses that cost 3m+. Tax lobsters etc.

Luxury tax would be great, but this government keeps delaying it and not implementing it.
