I wonder those leaking fuel pump is one of the cause of car fire.
I bet the fuel pump manufacturer does not only supply to Honda.

Honda has recalled approximately 720,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a potential issue with the high-pressure fuel pump, which could crack and cause fuel leaks, increasing the risk of fire. This recall includes models like the 2023-2025 Civic, Accord, and CR-V. Additionally, there have been reported incidents of car fires involving Honda vehicles, including a multi-car fire involving N-Van models and a Honda City catching fire on a bridge according to reports.

My HRV kena... but now is how long will it take to replace... Last time saw the pump location is below centre dash so everything has to out.

But never did any honda car stop on the road lol.

Remember this is a precautionary recall. Means honda already detect and proactively fixing it..unlike some cars u know...only fix when customer face it real time and endangering people lol

Petaling Jaya, 28 April 2021 – Honda Malaysia (or the Company) today announced a product recall involving additional 77,708 units of Honda vehicles to replace its fuel pump as a precautionary measure.

The affected models are in Table 1.

Honda Malaysia apologises for the inconvenience caused to the affected customers and reassures that all its current selling models are not affected in this product recall.

As customer safety is Honda Malaysia’s top priority, the company will continue to uphold transparency and stringent controls for customers. The Company believes this product recall is necessary as a preventive measure to address the possibility of difficulty in starting the engine, loss of engine power or vehicle stalling.

All affected customers will be informed via notification letters, which will include details of the product recall. Customers can also check if their vehicle is affected in the fuel pump recall via the HondaTouch application. Honda Malaysia urges all affected customers to contact any Honda authorised dealer to make an appointment upon receipt of the notification to replace the fuel pump, subject to parts availability.

The replacement of the affected fuel pump is free of charge and all cost related to this replacement activity will be borne by Honda Malaysia. The replacement stock will be available in stages.

As of today, there are no incidences of crashes or injuries caused by this issue reported in Malaysia.

The City 2019 Year Model is one of the models involved in the
product recall for fuel pump replacement.

HRV fuel tank is in the middle not the rear like most cars.
So pump access is through front floor/ centre console.

Can't, those without issue one are good pump, will replace them and sold the old to second hand market since it is a tested fuel pump..

my BRV 2017 not kena.
however, my Honda city hybrid idcd 2018 kena in the list.

but i never experienced any jerkings though as I only fill in either Shell RON97 or BHP 97 since day 1 i bought the car. the chapalang Petronas 97 also sometimes filled in but so far no problem on the fuel pump.

whatever, as long as it's free, might as well go for it.
