So need to rush to buy phones, laptops, gaming stuff before 1st July?

the fact that they steamrolled this law with no transition period means you got gamed, it's already June now.

it may appear retaliatory to US if they ever found this piece of news and viral to Trump

Handmade art earning so much to the point they get tax same lvl as caviar? I thought all this while artist poorer then beggars?
*
I think this only applicable to artist who earns a lot. Surely we don't expect craft sellers in central market to open invoice with tax?

Is already reduced from 10% to 5% since 2018.

Read again. SST that REMAINED at 5%. Not SST that INCREASED to 5%.

The thing that I've been thinking about.. seeing this really feels like that.

What is health ministry doing about this, fruits also want to tax

As if we grow avocados

A lot of good apples are also imported.

But this is going to tax across the board regardless no? It doesn't state any difference against category.

Actually, what are these local fruits that will not be taxed? The list just shows the list of fruits taxed but doesn't state source (local or imported).

Has there been clarification yet?

We are still at infancy stage if you ask me... Just look at the GST rate our neighbours are paying.

I dont think you can combat corruption as much as you wished to when you cant even command a simple majority without pulling those corrupted into the fold.
*
Well if you cannot combat corruption directly, why not lessen the budget? Why are we still draining our coffers like crazy with little rationale at all

at this point, reformation of the system is just another fairytale
