Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Dengan penuh kesyukuran kepada Allah SWT, saya ingin berkongsi satu berita gembira yang amat peribadi bagi saya — Alhamdulillah dengan izin-Nya, saya dan pasangan telah selamat melangsungkan pernikahan pada semalam. 🤍

Majlis pernikahan kami telah diadakan secara kecil-kecilan dalam suasana intim yang dihadiri oleh ahli keluarga terdekat dan beberapa orang sahabat rapat yang mengenali kami berdua sejak zaman persekolahan. Keputusan ini dibuat berdasarkan perbincangan bersama keluarga, dan untuk menghormati permintaan keluarga agar fokus ditumpukan kepada hikmah ikatan pernikahan itu sendiri.

Dengan rendah diri, saya memohon maaf sekiranya keputusan ini menimbulkan rasa terkilan atau kecil hati kepada mana-mana pihak. Ianya bukanlah satu keputusan yang mudah, selain sahabat dan ahli keluarga, saya tahu ramai dari kalangan ahli dan pemimpin parti juga sentiasa mendoakan dan mengharapkan yang terbaik untuk saya. Alhamdulillah, saya percaya pernikahan ini juga adalah sebahagian daripada doa-doa anda semua yang tidak pernah putus buat saya. Namun, saya juga amat mengharapkan agar semua pihak dapat memahami dan menghormati keputusan yang telah disepakati oleh kedua-dua keluarga ini.

Antara yang hadir juga adalah Sdri Yeo Bee Yin ('bos' saya sebelum ini -- yang juga pernah membimbing suami saya ketika menjalani latihan industri) dan dua rakan parti yang mengenali kami secara peribadi, serta YAB Dato Seri Amirudin Shari yang sudi hadir sebagai salah seorang saksi pernikahan. Terima kasih juga kepada beberapa orang pembantu saya turut hadir untuk membantu agar majlis berjalan dengan lancar.

Saya faham, mungkin ramai yang akan terkejut dengan berita ini. Namun, saya harap perkongsian ini adalah sesuatu yang baik dan menggembirakan (sebagaimana kami dalam meraikan penyatuan dua keluarga) tanpa sebarang niat untuk mengecilkan hati mana-mana pihak. Majlis dan keputusan ini dibuat dengan penuh ketelitian, berpandukan persetujuan kedua-dua keluarga yang mahukan sesuatu yang ringkas tetapi penuh keberkatan dalam penyatuan silaturrahim ini.

InshaAllah, saya dan pasangan berharap akan ada ruang dan masa lain untuk bersama-sama meraikan kegembiraan ini bersama sahabat dan kenalan dalam suasana yang lebih terbuka dan meriah. Buat masa ini, saya memohon dan amat mengharapkan doa semua agar Allah SWT memberkati perkahwinan ini dengan sakinah, mawaddah, dan rahmah. Mohon doa semua agar kami dapat melayari bahtera rumah tangga ini dengan baik, berkekalan dan sentiasa diredhai-Nya.

今天出席我婚礼的还有杨美盈女士（我之前的“老板”，她也是我丈夫在工业培训期间的导师）和两位认识我们的党员朋友；还有愿意作为婚礼证婚人之一出席的 拿督斯里阿米鲁丁；我还要感谢几位助手的到场帮助，让婚礼得以顺利进行。

我知道，很多人可能会对这个消息感到突然和惊讶。不过我希望，现在分享我的婚礼是一件美好而快乐的事情，就像我们在庆祝两个家庭的团聚那样，而无意伤害任何人的感受。这次仪式和决定是经过慎重考虑后做出的，得到了​​双方家庭的一致同意，他们希望在这场婚姻关系的结合中，举行一场简单且充满喜悦、祝福、和美好回忆的婚礼。

It's not mandatory to change your name in IC after conversion. Muallaf will be be issued kad islam.Don't simple assume. My co-worker just converted last year with new IC with religion islam stated but name remained the same. He told me Jabatan Islam said name change is not mandatory.
