Hi all!

I've been using my good ol laptop since 2020, I bought it for RM2700 back then. It's a budget Lenovo Flexpad and it does what I need pretty well.

Anyways lately I've started to play a few games mainly
- Grim Dawn
- Path of Exile
- Borderlands

and my laptop is struggling a bit , I've have to set the graphics to low to play most games.

Anyways I realize that I don't move my laptop a lot , it's always on my office desk and I thought of buying a mini PC so I can play games better.

With that said I'm completely clueless when it comes to tech ... so where do I even start to look ...?

Budget is about RM2500 -3000

I heard Beelink , MediaTek (?) and Miniforum is good? But there's soooooooo many different options it's overwhelming. Any help for this clueless newbie ?

I dont think there is a single one that can outperform a laptop with RTX4050.

You would need something with a Ryzen AI APU with Radeon 980m to match RTX 4050 mobile.

Just look out for RTX4050 laptop ba... its pretty decent price... bought an Acer Helios Neo 16 for my son for RM3.2k, 13500hx + RTX4050 last year. Upgrade 16gb ram this year for RM140 and just bought a 1TB KC3000 ssd for RM330. If you dont need that much storage or ram, then dont even need to upgrade. It was lagging because not enough ram for running discord + chrome + gaming.

A Mac mini will fit your budget and requirements.

Good luck.

Either get a mini pc with oculink or thunderbolt for egpu support or go with the 4050 laptop, other option will likely go over budget.

because you mentioned office, handheld PC like Steam Deck would be better. Just dock it to your monitor / kb mouse and take it home with you to continue gaming tongue.gif
