Hello Sifus,

I love to play Dota 2 and I only play Dota 2, I've been playing Dota 2 on my Apple MacBook for quite some time however lately, I feel that the game is taking a toll on my laptop.

I am thinking I shouldn't push my MacBook too far.

I am looking for a laptop or a desktop set up under RM2000 that is sufficient to run Dota 2.

Perhaps any sifu here can suggest?

Thanks,
Joel

Desktop, if u don't need a monitor, then you have broader chcie for a gc.
For laptop check out msi modern f14 or so, amd/Intel apu or integrated should be enough.

3k can get you 3060 rtx.
4k u can snap some rtx 4060 with good deals or lower with rtx 5 coming in now.

Hey Joel, I get where you’re coming from, MacBooks aren’t really built for gaming, so it’s normal to worry about pushing it too hard. For RM2000, I’d honestly recommend going for a desktop if you can; even a basic used gaming PC with something like a GTX 1050 or 1650 will handle Dota 2 way better than most laptops in that price range. If a laptop is a must, maybe try looking for secondhand ones with a dedicated GPU, but it’s tough to find good options under RM2000 new. Either way, giving your MacBook a break is probably a smart move to avoid overheating or slowing it down.
