My excuse was I am too IT literate (At least I thought I am).
Because to me, bitcoin is really just some string of bytes stored in list of computers (miner) that help to validate & store the transaction records. Thus, there exist Alts where any tom, dick & harry can just replicate "coin"
Is it really scarce like gold? If the system is one and only and can be replaced, then you can say it's scarce but from how I see it, it's just another form of "currency".
