Buy the cheap, low tech, simple , non nonsense build.
You put it all sorts of complicated circuits and capacitors all will die faster.

how long do you switch on your air cond?
If for few hours...it might be worthwhile buying non inverter type as there are not much savings

get the one with wifi now. i think now under 2k can get even with inverter. before got home can open so enter elready nicely sejuk wan.

inverter can only save money if you know how to use them.
1. DO NOT put a small air cond in a BIG room. Get the right size.
2. Temperature set about 22 - 25 deg C.

Using midea,Hisense,all got more yrs warranty than LG Pana

Recently switched back to Standard from inverter.

What it matter to me is not the cost of electricity, but the temperature fluctuation is much linear for Inverter.

Standard A/C keep on and off very annoying regardless I use cold or dry mode.

bought midea non-inverter 1.5hp for 1.5k w/ installation

with inverter was quoted about 1.75k w/ installation

from what kedai told me was buy inverter only if:

- long hours usage
- minimal temperature fluctuation in your room so compressor can rest and work lesser

if u ask aircond installer, they give u much better price as they can get it bulk.

Get good installer is way more important than getting better brand, of course not talking about those super cheap brands like casper etc. Asal midea, haier, etc any big brand names. Installer not that good the aircond also doesn't last long

Don’t use cheap brands like ccp brand. From outside ppl see your compressor is ccp brand, no up. Ppl see u like u cheapskate b40 that keep telling everyone no point buy branded air cond.

theft prevention...robbers see ccp brand...might avoid hitting the house
some ccp brands can last

Just bought new Daikin aircon few days ago.. RM 1,850 including installation

If use inverter, make sure it's not underpowered for your room. Made the mistake here

Inverter means electricity saving if not running at full speed. If you really need to run it to the max, go for normal aircond

All have built in obsolescence.
Most source from the same supply chains.
Midea, Haier & Hisense not bad.
If got money then it is Panasonic. After 10 years still can find parts and any kampong oso can find ppl to service & repair.

Most of the current air con nowadays are just Midea rebranded by other manufacturers. Deswai you can use the same remote for majority of the air cons now no matter the brand.

Now because I personally clean my own aircond , I dislike Panasonic. Much harder to remove blower fan and their drainage is made out of styrafoam. The flap motor and left/right fin motor is connected to the drainage which makes it super hard to remove for washing

Buy to open before sleep. Kenot sleep too hot

Only jimat if you run aircond at night because it can run at slower speed, compressor no need to work hard to expel heat on colder night temperature outside compared to non-inverter compressor kept turning on and off. Or if your building's insulation is very very good.

If can't maintain like 20-26C and the aircond needs to always run at max capacity at 28C at living room for example, getting non-inverter is ok because only very slight difference in electricity usage compared to inverter, almost identical.

inverter expensive to repair because got more electronic parts iinm, 1hp inverter okla change whole new isn't that expensive compared to 2-3hp rm3000+

I install Panasonic 2HP inverter and Hisense inverter 2HP in my house such a big difference even in the same size area.

Panasonic gets cold so fast while Hisense takes forever to cool down

Thats why Pana still is more expensive than other brands. What u pay is what u get.

Yup same. There is a reason Pana is more exp than any china brand. It is still much better than china brands

U will feel the difference after a super hot day. Pana u switch on, within 20-30 minutes the room is super cold

Hisense u switch on , after 1 hour still not super cold, just average cold. Even after turning on “super” mode on hisense, it takes more than 1.5 hours to be super cold.

Luckily this hisense aircon i got it free

i'm a lifelong toyota fan or anything japanese but a few years ago i took the plunge and installed a gree AC. it's 1hp for a small room, you're right, it takes a bit to start blowing cool air. i noticed my daikin next room takes like 3 min for compressor to kick in and start blowing cool air

but gree? maybe 6 mins. but once it's cold it really stays cold. even 26 feels chilly. for RM800 (in 2020), no regrets and I'd get it again.

nothing not to like other than taking a slightly longer time to warm up

my old myvi is now using a chinese compressor (cos a lot cheaper), the mechanic guy also said it doesn't cool as fast as a denso but it'll still work. no problem for me. if it's really hot, i just start the car and let it idle for 1 min or so before i drive.

I will go with mitsubishi AC as they last me more than 14 yrs... one of my 1.5HP KO recently after 14 yrs...open avg every night for 12 hrs.

Replaced with a 5 stars mitsu 1.5hp inverter JS series with 3 yrs for general warranty and 7 yrs for compressor..siap pasang RM1.9K...this model has one of the highest CSPF rating..

Same 2hp. bTU i dont know la

visited japan several times, most of the aircon brands i saw in buildings use mitsubishi , hitachi, fujitsu, toshiba lol never see daikin before

mitsubishi have 3 variants, one is from heavy industry another is from electric then the last is directly made by midea
don't know how to differentiate best to avoid

those mitsubishi and hitachi is different than ours mitsubishi and hitachi
unless you're getting a centralised ducted aircon then it's the same
but you're better with panasonic and daikin centralised aircon
cause cheaper service and parts

Mitsu last longest the 2hp seldom used now 10yrs{still running),LG 7-8yrs(3x), Pana 6yrs (worst than LG not so cold also)
Now left 1 LG ,2x midea{3yrs &1yr+),Hisense 1x1yr

I just bought a Panasonic inverter bcs read about how inverter ac can same money on electricity. But 2 hour in so far not happy with the performance at all my 15 year old ac was much colder then this.
WTA what is your inverter ac settings that you set?? Mine I set 24c , fan full speed with eco mode on, after 2 hour room still hella hot…

Used Pana invertor before. They ace in some appliances but AC not one of it.

No for panasonic. I rather go for midea for any air cond.

The turn off and still there is the automatic cleaning function not nanoe x

If you want nanoe x without ac just click on the button when turned off

Acson or Daikin high range models, long lasting even though initial purchase and installation cost is expensive.

Many data centres also use HVAC products from Acson / Daikin, they run 24/7 365 days. This is from my experience being in data centre industry.

Ya i just got 2 of this model at this price.
Haier 5 star inverter, self cleaning function, wifi, motorised horizontal & vertical fin. Really value for money.

just buy most basic one, non or inverter is up to you... more functions more prone to fail...especially panasonic.

Once you try inverter in your bed room you can never go back.

Get as simple function possible, just need inverter, don't get those with fancy AI la, wifi etc shit.. more functions more chance to rosak

I am using Sharp and Panasonic inverters, so far so good, more than 5 years zero issue. Remember to service it yearly.

it does

inverter is basically variable speed compressor and cooling capacity, the air usually constant temperature without big periodic temperature swings

non-inverter always full blast when on and when cold enough it turns off, bigger temperature swings in the blown air.

that's why inverter very good for bedroom, non-inverter is good for living room when you purposely made it small sized make the aircond always run 100% if your living room is too big and expensive to run big sized aircons

Read small prints on warranty. I claim Panasonic compressor under 7 yrs warranty but need to pay rm700 labour.

yeh except that for me who came from non inverter, i actually welcome the constant cold blast lol

im using inverter atm set at 25C and i felt at night sometimes because they maintain temps so well, it gets quite warm if you snuggle deeply under blankets

while last time using non inverter it constantly kept room so cold i can snuggle warmly

but ofc when see electric bill end of month i will want inverter

Constant blast because your AC is either undersized or not efficient. The compressor doesn't cut off because the set temperature cannot be reached.
