Fibre Optics Patch Cabling

Just a simple opinion from you guys ..

Recently the cable installed by UniFi team fe years ago seems broken and the connection is not stable, and sometimes LOS will be triggered on the RED L.E.D .. and since its an indoor issue, the UniFi team said I will be charged accordingly on the cable replacement (installation of new cable) from the outdoor wall point to the indoor wall point fibre termination.

Since I am capable to do wiring myself (I'm an electirician and CCTV installer too, also I have my own manpower) do you guys think is it reasonable for me to call up again the UniFi team to solve or do it myself ? (yes, nowadays I'm free and will be at home most of the days waiting for my customer back here next month from overseas)

The cable is actually cheap, I have all the tools (except Fibre terminator and signal checker ) and thats why I'm buying the ready-made cable from shop (not Lazada or Shopee) .. the running holes will be there if I remove the old fibre cable I can drill the wall if wanted bigger hole etc, I understand the cable is actually fragile and cannot be bent too hard ..

.. also I'm just curious that the UniFi people will charge me more hmm.gif

Note - The cable required is about 25 - 30 metres

I just called them up and said tomoro wan come .. since my router and modem seperate devices (old model), I request change to new 2 in 1 (New STB from them) .. wiring masuk next bill and I ask them renew contract la easy ..

my devices actually not faulty but cant connect Android TV and CCTV using LAN cable simultaneously, the signal drops above -25db blink.gif

RM53 (incl. SST) for standard length fibre + workmanship (dunno how long) and RM2.50 additional metres, see la how they install biggrin.gif

the website one u gave is different biggrin.gif

Ready made cable with the connector intact is kinda hard to pull through bends

Solution: Get a fusion splicer and you can take on fiber jobs in future tongue.gif
