Do you think the air filter/purifier can really suck out the bad smell?
I tried few brands and the smell is still there.
Or you think it doesn't work at all?
Bad smell = human smell, pet smell and whatever smell

In my experience, no. Air purifiers filter out some particles but human noses are so sensitive that we only need very little of the noxious particles to tell that it smells bad. Even when the air quality detector says that quality is good. You probably need some kind of deodorizer.

I am curious. Why not tackle the smell 1st? instead of purchase filter?
What the story?

If you live a typical incel lifestyle (i.e. dirty laundry pile up, don’t change bedsheet every 2 weeks, shower once a day or none at all, dirty dishes pile up at the sink, not cleaning your house etc), I can guarantee no air filter will be able to help you.

QUOTE(GalaxyV @ Jun 5 2025, 10:26 AM) some has charcoal but can't too it also depends on how strong the odour is, if its constantly being produced you throw as much charcoal also no use get rid of the main source first baru the filters can do their work

Industrial filter can. Data Server water filter can.
But household filter markets charcoal only to improve water taste. Not remove odour.

no, it wont help (maybe a little but the smell is still there).
Open ur windows and blow it out is the fastest way (make ur fan towards the windows direction, so ur fan can suck from the back and blow towards outside.

if you bought the claimed "activated charcoal", you need to know odor molecules are different...
hence, I can say....some activated charcoals can remove most odors, while some can filter lesser... it may be good at removing pet odor or smoke, but not cleaning detergent smells...it depends on something on the charcoal call adsorption (not absorption).
so, are those odor coming from VOCs or non-polar origin?.
you can google for those odor under them....VOCs and non-polar should be easier for activated charcoal adsorption.
