Good and bad.

iPhones came prechargred from the factory to about 70%. As long the phone still turns on, no problem.

Good is convenience.

Bad is performance. Wireless is still slow. At higher wattage, the phone will heat up.

I got wireless chargers at home, office and even the car so no problems going portless.

Apple used to make billions from Lightning licensing but after USB Type C, that waterfall flow gone for good.

Now they got rid of USB Type C and opt for wireless to make more money from accessories again.
