KUALA LUMPUR: Lawyer-activist M Visvanathan has proposed that the Attorney-General’s Chambers appoint him as an ad hoc =prosecutor to oversee the case involving Teoh Beng Hock’s death.

Visvanathan, chairman of Eliminating Deaths and Abuse in Custody Together (Edict), said he would be able to solve the case within 21 days if he were appointed as a special prosecutor.

Speaking at a gathering in solidarity with Teoh’s family here, the lawyer said three doctors had confirmed that the deceased had injuries to his neck which occurred prior to his fall from the fifth floor of Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam.

He added that these doctors previously confirmed the matter in court.

Visvanathan questioned why the police had launched their recent investigation under Section 342 of the Penal Code for wrongful confinement, when there was evidence that Teoh had suffered injuries prior to his fall.

“We have had multiple attorneys-general (AGs), prime ministers and inspectors-general of police since 2009, yet the mystery of Teoh’s death still haunts the nation.

“I propose to the AG, prime minister and home ministry: make me the ad hoc prosecutor. I will solve this case within 21 days of my appointment,” he said.

Last month, Teoh’s family was informed by police that their latest investigation into the case had been classified as requiring no further action or NFA.

On Nov 21 last year, the High Court had directed the police to complete their long-delayed investigation into the death of Teoh more than 15 years ago.

Teoh died on July 16, 2009 at the fifth floor of Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam, after being questioned for hours by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). An inquest was held and the coroner returned an open verdict.

Let DAP handle la. Don’t masuk campur la. DAP has been at the forefront of fighting justice for the late TBH during their oppo times. Now they are gov, you don’t believe they can fight for justice meh? You have so little faith in DAP and PMX leadership meh?

Honestly, time to let sleeping dogs lie. Accept the fact the last they have been taken for a ride by politicians. No point for any parties to try to elk out whatever issues now. Acceptance is hard and heart breaking but so is to continue fighting on a small hope lost to a conniving political party. Look at the MSK guys in Raub. Who supported them when they were oppo, and now where are those who supported them?

No one else should take advantage of the late TBH estate for their political or personal benefit anymore. The so called MACC personnel also have been promoted, if I am not mistaken as well.

Having said this, I still believe TBH has been denied justice by the gov and opposition. They have also been duped by politicians.

MCA should take this chance to make itself relevant again.
DAP clearly dropped the ball after all their noise in opposition. Now that they’re in power, they’ve done nothing concrete for TBH’s justice. If MCA or even GERAKAN steps up and actually pushes for real accountability, they might just regain some trust from the Chinese community.
Enough with letting politicians milk TBH’s death for votes without action.

someone threw the body out of the window to make it look like a suicide.

they forgot to print TBH fingerprints on the frame. so how can an adult climb out of a window without touching the frames? the only way - he did a swimming dive.

the case cannot close bcos forensic couldn't find traces of TBH's fingerprint on the window nor frame.

get the point?

or u never follow the case?

So it's a murder case. This is not the only one. How is a nation going to do well and prosper when those who are in the highest authority continue to condone the act of cover up. Those who accept their pathetic narratives are nothing short of delusional.

Let law run its course, says Ean Yong after Teoh’s sister calls him out

The former Selangor exco member responds after being criticised by Teoh Lee Lan for not speaking up on the AGC’s decision to classify the case as NFA.

PETALING JAYA: Former Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah has called for the legal process to take its course in the Teoh Beng Hock case, after being criticised by his late political aide’s sister.
Ean Yong said he shared the Teoh family’s grief over the past 16 years and pledged to cooperate fully with police if any new evidence emerges.

“Through all the sadness, I urge that the law be allowed to run its course,” Oriental Daily quoted him as saying.

I will not comment on the Facebook postings made by Teoh Lee Lan.”

Lee Lan had taken to Facebook to express frustration that Ean Yong had yet to break his silence or take a clear stance, more than three weeks after the Attorney-General’s Chambers classified the case as requiring no further action (NFA).

She accused Ean Yong of avoiding responsibility, questioning why he did not ensure her brother had legal representation during his MACC interrogation or inform the family earlier about his detention.

Teoh, a political aide to Ean Yong, died on July 16, 2009 on the fifth floor of Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam, after being questioned for hours at the Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters.
