QUOTE(RT8081 @ Jun 3 2025, 07:32 PM) 24mm wide should be sufficient for lanscape or i need to bring wider lens ? Also those telezoom lens useful or just a burden to carry ? 🤔 whats your itinerary, location, purpose etci probably wouldnt lug a 70-200 even if f4 for travel unless im doing nature stuff 24-70 f2.8/4 would be my main glass, maybe 2 primes (1 ultrawide, 1 40-55). gives additional flexibility 24 would be sufficient for group photos but if you wanna take landscape photos something wider is warranted especially if you dont plan on going back anytime soon RT8081 liked this post

True photographer shoots 35mm prime in full frame body. You can bring 50mm for portrait shots or 24mm for landscape if you want. But for travel, 35mm is what a human eyes normally see. Some of the photos I took with these lenses. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() SpiderMon68, kangkayu, and 2 others liked this post

QUOTE(RT8081 @ Jun 3 2025, 07:41 PM) i would pack light then. an ILC body + fixed lens compact like the GR. 24-70 + maybe a prime like 35/50. bitches love 35mm shot in europewont bother with wide unless landscape is one of the reasons youre going there. backpacking in my 20s and lugging glasses + tripod was awful, but im not a very fit person and I didnt have much money back then for carbon fiber stuffs. 11-16 ultra wide 2.8 35 1.8 or faster prime 50 1.4 also ok. Assuming you are using a crop sensor. Won't bother with a general purpose zoom. Just use leg zoom. If 35 is too up close and personal for you, I will lug along a 135 fast prime. RT8081 liked this post

For travelling just take 1 zoom lens, and may be 1 prime. I own a mirrorless, and my kit is max 1.5kg in weight. RT8081 liked this post
