Damn man, what’s going on? Used to be known as a T20 location when I was studying in kl back then.
*
Bukit Pantai is the rich area, Bangsar Baru is Middle Class, then Lucky Garden not so affluent...
Then you have Brickfields, Pantai Dalam nearby...

Yesterday, it was reported that a police search for a missing Briton at a partially under-construction condominium along Lorong Maarof in Bangsar led to the discovery of a decomposed body there.

Police had traced the movements of the missing man β€” Jordan Johnson-Doyle β€” to the condominium about 4pm on Wednesday.

They then launched a search of the entire building with a team comprising at least 30 policemen.

At around 5pm, a body was discovered in a partially submerged elevator shaft in a part of the building that was still under construction.

The body was found in a rather isolated area which was partially submerged.

"The parents of the missing British man have also arrived in Malaysia and will attempt to visually identify the body once the autopsy is completed.

Very few people would know theres a secluded place in Bangsar to dump a body? πŸ˜‰

An autopsy held today revealed that the cause of death was a chest injury resulting from a fall from height.

β€œNo criminal elements were found at the scene. The case has been classified as sudden death.”

i know its walking distance
what i thought was he sudah mabuk or gila2 jalan2 from telawi to that area?
*
I doubt he would've gone there alone. Who in their right mind would knowlingly go to a building site alone in a foreign country?
I know I wouldn't unless I was thinking with my other head 😁

Maybe he thought he picked up a local delicacy and he just followed to a quiet secluded place for makan makan.

"parts of his clothing partially removed"

Was it a trap? Lure him there with local delicacy and rob him?
Did he try to escape in the dark and fall into the shaft?
Did he put up a fight and was pushed down?

Where was he staying? Is the site on his way home?

To me most likely he was killed elsewhere and  the body was dumped there.

I mean look at him. He is not your typical British lads lad fuckboi chasing tail in Ibiza or Megaluf while getting blackout drunk.
He checks in with his mom everyday and his mom has access to his whereabouts via Find My iPhone. How many 25 yr olds do that? 😁

highly doubtful, because late at night hardly ppl walking already.
If he really does, then confirm CCTV will capture him walking there.
It's possible that he is walking to the LRT but his Robertson condo doesn't seems like got LRT station nearby ? Masjid Jamek LRT?
*
Although he is a "backpacker", he's still a remote-working software engineer.
As long as there's internet access he gets Β£.

I'm sure he doesn't have to rely on the LRT, what's a couple of quid for Grab?

According to his mother, she used Find my Phone last Wednesday and saw the phone was at a condo location. I assume this is the same one where his body was found. Why does it take one week or even days to search a condo site?
*
1. He's a grown ass man. Just bec his mother cannot contact him in a foreign country doesn't automatically mean something bad has happened.

2. His mother reported him missing to Merseyside Police in the UK on 30 May.
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx2e1ppxjzdo

3. PDRM officially received his missing person report made by his father on 2 June.
https://says.com/my/news/police-confirm-bod...n-johnson-doyle

4. On 4 June, bec of kabel besar by British High Commision, multiple missing person articles in the UK, PDRM sent 30 officers to the last place his phone said he was at ie. Bangsar Hill Park and his body was found...

Not fast enough?

If you go missing in the UK. I wonder how long it will take your mom to get the Metropolitan Police to look for you. 😁

Dont be a dick, this is her son in a foreign land reported missing. Who cares about the timelines and what who could have done better, when. He's lost and as of unofficial news (or officially now not sure), dead.

RIP

i think most people in the west, and even younger people here have their parents in their find my.

i even have 3 from uni friends back in europe

i only ever used it when she got lost in klia and went to the wrong exit, but its always there.

you all think asian parents only helicopter, but from what i saw europeans are also very close and anxious parents.

and you are here judging a book by its cover.

dont cry when your children experience racism too.

They all behave like drunk stupid idiots like the video below.
I almost got culture shock the first time I was there.
How can Asian admire Ang Moh if their behavior is like 3rd world on cheap Sangsom
Those are your typical working class British lads. 😁
They like to drink. They like to party. The can be obnoxious. They typically annoy the locals.
But hopefully not to the point that they fall out of buildings or into lift shafts πŸ˜†

Jordan to me, does not strike me as one of them.
But if you say he is, then who am I to argue?
