Man I have problem with patience when it comes to kids being naughty and it just so pissing off. Like in cafe they just scream and throw things and disturb neighbor etc. I don't know how to control them, except giving them phones that solves the problem.

This is something you build up gradually over the years.

You cannot be a douchebag vacant parent for 1, 3, 5, 10 years and expect all of a sudden for the kid to listen to you like a flick of a switch.

Giving them devices is obviously a stopgap solution, but does nothing in the long run except instilling the belief in them that if they continue being little shits, they will get what they want.

/edit kids are also a little ball of immense energy. If you don’t do anything with them the whole day and expect them to be calm and sit down nicely, that won’t work.
As a parent, you need to know your own kids’ energy level and activity them accordingly (because overtired kids are also another problem in itself).

If calculated correctly, we trying to conceive around 1 year+ since the wedding night.

Damn, so its really not easy to get baby even if constantly shoot inside. 1year+ is very long.

While many youngster who don't want baby will get baby on their first shotgun.

Dryper WeeWee Dry & Tape Diapers : RM30 (average price) x (had 2pack x 12months = 24) = RM720
Aptamil Step 1 & 2 Formula Milk = RM75 (average price) x (had 3pack x 12months = 36) = RM2700 (Tried many brands, can’t pass stool, ended up with Aptamil, will try to change brand Anmum Gold Step 3, if he suits with it)
Bottle/stroller/toy = RM800
Shirt/Other = RM300
About total RM12k after 1 year.
In fact, only bought few new shirt/toys, many are given by my siblings.
Those diapers, milk, other things were discounted from Shopee/Lazada, luckily can get vouchers, like RM75-30 = RM 45-50 sometime on those promotion days.

I see some people won’t sharing this, but the Angpao offset most of the spending, about RM6000~7000 postnatal/full moon, keep for the baby for RM1500+ CNY, birthday RM1200+, special days RM50+

Would not, sometime my baby boy plays with it and snacks. If the material is plastic/ceramic, likely broken already.

Surprisingly not yet, only 2 times pee out slowly when changing diaper when the days/times of taking care of him.

Yes, my wife and I plan to start trying for baby this month and so on. Have at least two children. I believe it’s better to take on this challenging life earlier rather than later. It also makes future things like school schedules, dates, time and overall planning easier to manage.

Just like you said, these days, many parents use smartphones to play videos and calm their kids down. I’ve done that too, but only for a 1 minute or less. My baby quickly gets bored and just tosses the phone aside.
A better approach, in my experience is to keep rotating toys. As soon as he gets bored(very fast in fact under 1 minute), I give him something new. I also bought those magnetic blocks and style cubes for the future. Those likely can actually keep him entertained for hours.



I used to be a happy-go-lucky single guy. I spent over RM30k+ on my photography hobby without a second thought, so much freedom, so much joy in being able to buy whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted.

u spend the given angpow? i save it for my child future, that's why i never mention about using angpows. if your wife can breast feed/ pump breast milk... eventually you save at least 60% to 90% of milk powder and bottle cost for the 1st year depends how rajin is your wife.

at times your milk too thick/ heaty cause difficult to pass stool as recommended mixture ratio is 1:1, i mix 0.8:1 milk powder to water ratio. bulk purchase really save alot but at the same time planning is important when your child go thru a transition. else you end up lots of extra milk powder and diapers.

confinement RM6888 you hire a confinement lady? then you miss out the cost of food, cost spend on confinement lady's needs, 1 month's herbs soup ingredients and misc.... last time my wife confinement RM9k++ in confinement center... ALL IN!

They say sex during relationship is better than in marriage, and after marriage/got baby, dead fish. For me, it is the opposite, marriage sex is better/superior.

30 May, I post here few days after

1 year & a few months can already be considered okay or even fast, especially desire is strong and almost perfectly timed ovulation dates. Most people only succeed after trying for around two years but we often don’t know the full story behind their journey. Some may take 1 year or more just to get more financially stable. Honestly, I doubt the husband could resist/tahan to shoot inside after marriage.

Hell yeah, my baby boy is super active, can’t force him to sleep, cry for sleep or very tired. He can only sleep in his baby spring cot and bed. Lately, he starts fussing a bit whenever the car stops at a traffic light.


So far, my mental health and sleep quality have been good, although experienced a bit of anxiety as parent. Fortunately, my wife is very supportive and allow me to spend time playing games with friends and my photography hobby, which has been great way to reduce that anxiety.

1) Even got supporting, when eat, see phone, clean plate, household stuff, he come to see for a while, under 1 minute go to other things.
2 & 3) I don’t buy any expensive stuff, most expensive is the stroller, about RM200, and he on that stroller for 1-2 month only, then cannot because he gets heaty fast with his long fast growing hair.
Brands like Pureen, Anakku, etc.
Clothing/toys few bucks RM20-50, mostly given by my siblings.
All natural foods, banana, avocado, rice porridge, fish, chicken meat, veges, etc.

Wait till they reach terrible 2 and horrible 3. I puke blood when my son start throwing remote at my TV, throw my phone on floor because not able to get what he wanted

Small issue la. I had to have my macbook screen replaced not once but twice. End up basically like getting a new macbook. And he was 6 btw

Last year my pc psu shortage, pc total damage, luckily got 2 cores wife laptop with upgraded 8>12gb ram, very slow but still can play dota 2 at very low setting with possible disabled all things, run lightroom/photoshop/photo editing like snail.
I think almost a year, no budget to build new desktop pc.

After many surveying, this is the best and great hospitality, cleanliness, security, caring, good & healthy foods for mother, etc, and cheap.


Preparation:
- Chinese herbal soup, free by my grandmother & mother.
Delivery:
- RM30-50 if not mistaken, at Penang General Hospital (government)

Post Delivery:
- RM6888 maternal care (in year 2023),
- Government clinic, mother & baby checkup and vaccines, free (first time blue/pink record book about RM10 if not mistaken)
- My baby had jaundice for 1 short week, free block check at government clinic

During her confinement period, my wife told me heard few mothers say loudly, went to private hospital, C-section costs RM20k+, normal delivery RM10k+, Private pediatrician 1 visit RM60-100+, excluding any needle/vaccines.
I know private care is far superior, but going to government hospital is definitely more cost-effective and easier on the wallet.

Back then, I struggled with insecurities and anxiety. My financial situation wasn’t great and deep down the real issue was my lack of self-confidence, partly due to several failed long distance relationships (honestly, I wouldn’t even call them real relationships to begin with).
At one point, I had decided not to get married or start a family.
But seeing my siblings with their children, experiencing their joy and fulfillment made me reconsider. Slowly, I chose to walk this path.
Now, from dating > proposing > registering our marriage > conceiving > my own family, each step has filled those voids in my heart. These moments even surpass the joy I once found in photography (my current second greatest passion).
Of course, I still carry some worries, financial stability, health concerns but the smile of my baby boy lifts me greater height. For me, money will never be enough. I value my time with my family over career or wealth. That’s life and real success for me.

If not mistaken, my wife breast milk with some formula milk (Aptamil Step 1) for at least 6 months, that really saved me lot of buying the formula milk. It’s amazing to see some mother can pump breast milk until 1 year+…
My baby boy can’t pass stool with Anmumlac > S-26, finally he suit the Aptamil,. This brand Aptamil is expensive compare to the likes of Anmumlac, S-26, Nestle, Fernleaf, Dutch Lady, etc. It is all worth it anyway.



RM6888 confinement in year 2023 at Penang Island. Confinement ladies is experienced and well trained, cleanliness, security (baby monitor cctv can view anywhere), healthy foods/drink, 5 nutritious meal per day, free flow drink and of course the herbal bath & soup for mother. Even got the KKM registered doctor come to practical training the mother how to take care of the baby / nursery classes for free.
