yes the only downside was backup via iTunes might be slow for usb 2.0 , but i think just use wireless backup will do 
And in 2025 , do actually people stil using iTunes? At least among my friend and family , dont surprise that non-of them actually knowing iTunes    , only old user might know iTunes because we need using it to update our device in old day and now , everything to cloud and wireless.
Found back 2012 picture , using itunes to update the iOS    , updating iOS in old day was damn scary , will sudden pop-up error

It’s a fair trade off if you want something that’s so slim, I guess.  As for the USB C speed, I’m just nitpicking on them coz the fact they put the A19 Pro in it and charging RM5k for it, I would think the least they could do is also give it USB 3.0 for the aesthetics  if not for anything else, haha…

I think you can backup and transfer without having to pay for an iCloud subscription? Not sure, haha.

I have an Apple Family subscription thing coz my wife, kid and mum are also on iPhones - we are Apple whores, I know. Besides, Apple Music is a nice alternative to Spotify and there are some good stuffs on Apple TV+ occasionally!

I never try the wireless iTunes before but i do heard it can be done , maybe u can follow this guide line.

just check, sync via wifi and full backup actually are totally different things. so it cannot replace itunes backup via cable.

technically only two ways to do full backup of iphone, one is via icloud one is via itunes over cable.
no other methods.
transfer over wifi is only to move data to new iphone = so it is also not a long term backup solution.

Sync over Wi-Fi only transfers selected iTunes content (music, movies, photos, etc.) from PC to device.
Full backup saves nearly everything on your device (apps, settings, messages, photos, etc.) so you can fully restore it later.

👉 Sync = media management, Backup = complete safety copy.

It certainly is something different from Apple - but not as much hype as when the released iPhone X, hahaha…

I think the obscenely expensive will be the foldable when it launches, haha

They could just implement the same SOP as the Apple Store. After all, if no old phone is returned, no refund will be made as the full cost is still charged upon purchase. So, they won't have any loss anyway.

I have 2 phones (iPhone and Android ) and now I am switching between them as and when as I like.

And the charge might be a deal breaker in thw long run.
I switch phone depends on the occasion.
For work I use my Fold, if I go cycling/exercise/travel light  I switch to my iPhone etc.

And don’t forget to factor in the MagSafe battery pack for RM479 if you need the peace of mind for your battery life. You might be better off getting the 17 Pro.

I would say Air aim really different category of people , not a big majority but some minority who really will appreciate technology. But u need to be affordable and rich first 

iphone 17 is having very high CP value indeed. However, it has the greatest flaws is that majority of ppl still prefer bigger display since iphone 6 plus era.

so many will still be forced to buy 17 pro max if they want bigger display if they are not happy with Air.
Obviously apple knows about this and they remove 17 plus this year. else if there was 17 Plus, it may be one of the hottest model ppl buy this year. 

If Apple keep the iPhone 17 plus this year, with all the new updates or hardware and same bigger display remaining, and same price for 128gb but get 256gb, I am sure it will attract a lot of new buyers becos CP value is high.

Obviously Apple is smart to remove the 17 plus so that it will not compromise the sale of iPhone 17 pro max.
