Apple leaflet I got was saying esim something (Immediately threw into dustbin), not the usual bunch of stuff.

Actually you can consider other GaN charger which have 65W, 100W or even 320W since you can have more type c port to charge other power hungry devices.

Then your GaN charger 65W should able to pull 40W for your iPhone 17 pro max. I’ve tested my Ugreen GaN 65W able to pull 35W PD which I suppose it could max out 40W when battery at very low percentage.
