It shouldn't be too hard to change the IMEI? I bought mine through Normal Contract, so the phone is unlocked.

Yup. I just called Maxis CS, they saw the defect as well. So now i'm just waiting for their update and hopefully the replacement will be a success.

The manager asked me to collect the phone first but don't use it. Few of the staffs there took pictures of it, one lady used an iPad to capture the pictures, so i assume it is to open a customer complaint.

I'm still waiting for the manager to call me back, which is today, but nothing yet.

I also called Maxis CS this morning, and they say will look into the matter as the defect was pretty obvious when i sent the pictures through WhatsApp for them.

Take it with a grain of salt of what the Maxis sales rep says. I called Apple Store TRX, they are not the ones distributing the stocks to telcos. if they were, pretty sure they would clear their backlogs first, rather than send it to 3rd parties.
