The new South Terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport has officially been revealed, and it’s set to be one of the most impressive airport terminals in the world. With a massive footprint of 1,000,000 square metres, it will become the second largest terminal on the planet under a single roof.

Designed to handle up to 70 million passengers each year, the terminal will include 81 aircraft contact gates, helping to streamline the boarding process and ease congestion. It’s a major step forward in enhancing Thailand’s role as a global travel hub.

Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2027 and finish by May 2031. It may be a few years away, but the future of air travel in Bangkok is already looking brighter.
